    People like @abbomf@abbomf and @Park bantam@Park bantam couldn't seem to get this. Many fans wouldn't of renewed under Bowyer. People didn't like him and his football was utter dire.

    This is the correct business decision

    I'm not shedding any tears, but it wouldn't surprise me if the new manager can't halt our slide down the table. I hope I'm wrong though and we are all at Wembley celebrating in May.

    If it doesn't go quite go to plan though please can we not have another "sack the manager" thread in May?

    It had to be done.Not a cause for celebration more relief !
    I don't want to celebrate a sacking and someone losing their
    job but football is a harsh environment and that's the way it is.

    Drury was not Bowyers man and hopefully the new manager
    will bring in his own No 2 as we need a fresh start.

    I dont like to see anybody sacked. BowyerS got a family and I’m sure he tried his best.

    The facts are though that the players weren’t responding after the Crawley and Mansfield disasters and the club really had little option.
    It was time for a change.

    Oldham accounted for another city manager. Could events be about to complete a full circle?

    Nolan for me long term.

    McCall or Warnock short term Doubt McCall would come back and Rhodes couldn't handle Warnock so Nolan from that list.

    The players need someone to look up too and with a network. I said Nolan or Kewell last season and I stick by that.

    Didnt expect this as soon as this. Correct decision though. I thought Rupp and Rhodes would drag it on another couple of weeks or so to see whether he could turn it around, so fair play to them.
