The waspi women as you refer to had nothing to do with lack of available funds. It was to do with the equalisation of the retirement age.

Money can always be found, especially if there is a war involved.

From down the chain. Under 50's will pay for all this.

Money is found from the tax payer.

And they don’t dispute that and are not against it’s the unfair the way it happened no official notice women had planned for years my wife for instance started work at15 not the 18 most start at today and payed full stamp throughout. The first rise was accepted even though we received nothing from the goverment. The second was imposed with less than twelve months notice adding 2.5 years extra work totally unfair. Fortunately we were comfortable many weren’t

Agree the whole thing was a clusterfuck but had nothing to do with lack of resources.

Just to reiterate how things will not bounce straight back:

"More than one million businesses face going under within weeks"

The new report by the British Chambers of Commerce (BCC) also found that 6 per cent of businesses have already run out of cash due to the coronavirus crisis.

Meanwhile, just 1 per cent of firms had successfully accessed the government's coronavirus business interruption loan scheme.

Not clicking on that link as it's to the s*n and i don't read that sh*t but your post makes perfect sense.

Add to it many self employed won't get through this at all.

If we don't go back to work soon we are in trouble. For me though it's not voicing the exit plan that's the issue because businesses can't plan.

Large businesses are in deep trouble also. They are the ones then tend to cut heavily.

At this moment companies are wanting not to look like pricks by cutting staff but as soon as the Furlough is up.. then cuts will happen in big numbers.

The banking system needs overhauling to look at itself and work out why 99% of businesses are not getting the Government backed loans as promised. That is a national scandal.

Because Rishi and the government didn't do wash tight deals.

Government Furlough- we will pay 80% of 2.5k...
Businesses- that means we can/will cut pay staff pay by 20%.

Government Business loans - we will loan businesses money from the banks.
Banks - we will loan of you pass our credit rating.

You can't go business like the government is doing with gaps. 1m was meant to be the Furlough take up now about 9m with companies like Spurs taking it up.

And many of those Furlough will still lose their job.

That'll be fuel to the fire of the conspiracy theorist notion of new world order.

On a more optimistic note for now:

Countries that have not had lockdowns as tight as the UK are starting to slowly relax restrictions since their peaks have passed:

    https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-52226763

And you can add Australia to the countries mentioned above - where new cases are down 85% and restrictions are actually slightly looser than the UK.

    https://www.theguardian.com/world/2020/apr/11/can-i-visit-my-parents-or-family-at-easter-australias-coronavirus-lockdown-rules-and-restrictions-explained

This suggests the UK will start discussing slight relaxation of containment rules in the next week or two (if people stop flouting them). I reckon they might be able to restart the football season behind closed doors in several weeks time on this evidence.

according to Guardian average German man pension in 2015 was £767 a month.

According to Data from the Department for Work and Pensionsanalysed earlier this year showed that the average UKretired couple has a weekly income of £576 or £29,952 a year, while one-fifth have a higher than average weekly income of £936 or £48,672 a year.17 Aug 2018

so unless Germany have increased their pension massively you could be wrong

I am talking about state pension.and the Tories won’t cut that because the grey vote is crucial to them. What is desperately needed is some social care plan which is sadly lacking in this country. Most other European countries have a different formula for working out pensions based on their average earnings
