Our pitch is shocking, I made my thoughts clear further along but it leaves a bad taste blaming a young ref if part of the pitch is dangerous.

 

If you read between the lines of Alexander’s press release I don’t think he was to bothered about the postponement

 

Well that’s ruined my “permitted 90 mins not involved with the Mrs x Child”. Do I tell her, or can I blag it somehow?

 

I know exactly who calls the game off thank you, but it’s not the refs job to actually make a pitch safe. I’ve already explained everything in post 84 and feel GAs comments back mine up, regardless of a phoney training session. Poor form to shove all the blame on a young ref considering the state of some of the so called professional pitches at this level. Who gets blamed if there’s a serious injury doe to a loose pitch, oh yeah the ref.

 

He wouldn't dare call off Liverpool v Man city/utd for same reasons as today......

Disappointing but clearly benefits us. Imagine the fatigue from playing on our pitch just 3 days previous.

 

Young ref?
He’s 32 and been an EFL ref for 7 years.
Done lots of championship and lge 1 games and did the lge 2 play off final at Wembley last year.

Erm because it’s their pitch, what you mean don’t see it if you don’t mean it? God you could argue in an empty phone box, and have with just about every poster on here. Try to be less condescending when having a conversation.

 

I'm not going to comment on the suitability of the pitch to play. How could anyone possibly pass judgement without carrying out an inspection? What I would say is that the responsibility falls on Barrow and in the absence of any kind of serious weather conditions its a disgrace that they have given the ref a decision to make.

 

Scores elsewhere not too bad so far, if it stays like this then 3 points off the playoffs with no more games in hand against us.

 

As frustrating this is for the fans who've travelled, for the bigger picture for the team is is probably quite good for us. It would've been interesting to see what the team would have been today with the injuries and suspension. This gives us time to get Platt, Richards and Kelly back from injury, if we can at least 1 of them back fit then it makes the team easier to pick. Also gives the players an extra break after a mentally and physically tough game on Wednesday.

 

Just looking at the latest scores in L2 and I know it's only HT so a long way to go but as it stands we could end the day in a better position than we started it without even kicking a ball. And just to add that 7th place is seriously up for grabs and there for the taking for any team in the running who puts a bit of form together in the run in.

 

Couldn't really ask for a better set of scores at half time, the only way it could be better is if Gillingham were losing. If MK win today then I think that puts them too far away from us so how to 2 places to fight for.

You don’t have to refer to God…I’m not religious, as a result it’s meaningless. I’m curious why anyone should blame Barrow for the game being called off, you still haven’t said why. You said it on a public forum , so others are entitled to call it out… If you think being asked a question is condescending …….Thats not any issue for me.

 

Salford are far the better side at Mansfield and losing . Cloughie loves lumping it to the big men at set pieces, effective…yes.

 

Erm I did, it is a clubs duty of care to take care of their facilities and that includes the pitch. If a pitch is loose and therefore dangerous it is on them, the ref didn’t make the pitch loose but would be blamed if he allowed the game to go ahead and injuries occurred. I’ve already said all this and am now repeating myself.
