    Not so sure that works. I live in the Greater Manchester area. I don't see much evidence of massive investment in Salford or a number of the Satellite towns like Ashton-Under-Lyne, Rochdale, or Oldham.
    There are areas of Bradford MBC which are quite wealthy, relatively speaking, and seem to be well on the rise, yet the old City of Bradford area in particular seems to stagnate.

    It will be platform two as platform one is the down line to Leeds, but still pushing it, unless he just drags the kid.

    Population of Leeds is about 410,000 short of 1.2 million. Birmingham isn't even that big.

    Not sure I agree totally about Salford. Parts of what most people think of as Manchester City centre are actually in Salford and pretty much all the left bank of the irwell is Salford. Salford Quays has had some pretty major investment

    They are slowed between a mile either side of Valley Parade due to high traffic and footfall.

    Highly recommend Norfolk/ NYorks. Best thing we did …leave Bradford nearly 30 years ago. We would never live in a city again….not even rent free!
