Where are the family based??
If your over Shipley/Baildon way San Angelo's Italian is recommended.
If you are over Wibsey way then Denmans at Shelf is a gorgeous little Bistro.
If you are up towards Yeadon and Guiseley then I recommend Maki Zanmai on Yeadon High Street.
Really surprised by how nice it was there.
Also Cena Bistro in Guiseley.
Centre of Bradford isn't nice at all for food.
All the so called famous curry houses are crap.
I love curry as well but find I can make one better at home.
Only place I've eaten a curry out recently was Rajashi in Idle.
Better than any established central ones.

 

A good Italian is Mamma Mia. If you don’t fancy curry. Near the ground too. Top of Manor Row just can’t remember the street it is on.

 

My Brother seems to like it when he returns from Australia.

 

In fairness it’s pretty good.

 

Wild was mentioned a few times on here with regards how well he did at Halifax when we were looking for a manager before we brought in both Bowyer and Hughes.
I believe if Wild allows the lad a bit of freedom (Hughes is a stickler for sticking to his formation) I believe the kid will score goals or make a few for other Barrow. players.

 

Walk accross the road, catch the 72 bus towards Leeds and have curry at Akbars on Leeds Road.
Or get taxi, it’s only about 2 miles

Bradfords curry scene has been massively overrated for years.

 

He has a good right peg on him, probably the best striker of a ball in the squad. After that though his qualities are lesser.

 

Therein lies the answer why he’s not playing. You could be right but his overall contribution ability for the team is weak. Hughes and Hodges must think the same surely?

Some goods recommendations there. Indian restaurants are far better in Idle and Greengates than the ones in town in my opinion

 

And, despite not having played for four months, remains second highest scorer, all top class strikes.

 

Or walk. As you say it's only 2 miles.

 

Rumpus is great. Need to book though as limited capacity!

Cheap cheerful and good quality. Pizza Express on Broadway. Not sure if it's open evenings, but if it is the restaurant at Kala Sangam in Forster Sq. Food in the City Vaults is good, especially the Hustlergate Burger. There is an absolutely immense pizza restaurant in Sundridge Wells- 100% need to book though but cant rememberits name. Also Mama Mias in picadilly. They do great snack food in the peacock. The food in Sally Brown's is good. The nandos type place on the outside of Broadway. The pasta place on charles street. The smokehouse next to the lord clyde. The persian places on westgate and little horton lane. The steak place tgat used to be omars also on little horton lane. Bradford Centre isn't as devoid as people make out and its probably just as safe as Carlisle City centre. Dont listen to the folk who just want to run Bradford down.

I'd rather wander round Bradford at night than Leeds, or Shipley.

 

Walk up Leeds Road at night ? Are you crazy!

 

Can’t believe I’ve read someone advising a visitor of our city to walk up Leeds road, one of the worst pieces of advice I’ve ever heard. It’s a gamble to stop at the traffic lights there, maybe that’s why so many don’t bother stopping at red!
