The plane has to fly a certain height above the tallest building within a certain radius of the ground, that's the only stipulation.

Well if the tallest building happends to be an old mill similar to Drummond mill it could be arranged to be shell by the time of the official fly bye is booked ;).
I'm in for £10 if it can be organised.

Will you set up a just giving page or something? There's enough support for this.

Just be very careful, what you plan to do!!!

    Read and learn!!

"The exact numbers and details of all the ligation / defamation proceedings are not exact. There have been two different legal affairs against fans. The first relating to the pitch invasion at the Huddersfield game and the second related to defamation – statements that fans had mad online or in statements.

One fan was jailed for 26 weeks for threatening behaviour when he stormed from the pitch to the directors box, the fans also damaged a security camera at an away game and let a smoke bomb off at a train station.

A second fan was given a suspended sentence for threatening behaviour

The defamation proceedings there are four notable cases

Frank Knight 67, had to apologize for comments made and pay £20,000 in damages to the club. After an appeal by fans raised over £20,000 for Frank.

David Ragozzino had to pay £20,000 to Karl Oyston and Owen Oyston and £1,000 to the Club. Details of the case over at http://www.simkins.com/foul-play-by-football-fan-who-posted-defamatory-comments-online/

Stephen Sharpe apologized posting defamatory comments on an internet forum – made a £5,000 donation to the Blackpool FC Community Trust.

Former chair of the Blackpool Supporters’ Trust, Tim Fielding made an online apology over comments he made."

What I think is absolutely crucial, is that action, which makes fans 'feel good that they have done something', may well be ineffectual.

The Oyston's despite bankruptcy of Karl (later annulled), conviction/imprisonment https://www.theguardian.com/uk/1999/dec/08/paulkelso1 are still there!

I'm in for a tenner. Need to set this as a poll to get confirmed numbers before collecting money, no point if can't get full amount, but would like to think it possible!

And they sued the Oyston's after they were proved correct in court. Everything they'd accused the Oyston's of, was proved correct when the Oyston's lost the case in court to Belekon.

    Great post.
I imagine ER has already many screenshots of comments made on here, TCA and twitter.
This could get messy if ER decides to take action against posters.

At the moment we are talking about a banner asking the owners to leave, I doubt that breaks any laws.

Everyone is entitled to their view of the club owners. In these heated times ppl do need to think about what they are saying. If it is a rumour, ppl must make it clear and if in doubt ‘alleged’ comes in handy. Abuse can be difficult to define, the courts would be running 24/7 if everyone who ever verbally abused another person. However, threats of violence are something entirely different and cannot be tolerated however tongue in cheek.

The company I got the quote from said they wouldn't print anything that broke any kind of laws, so no problems on that front.

Protest outside the ground before matches.

Continue to fully back the players on the pitch when inside the ground.

As you seen yesterday that's not going to happen.

We either go all in on this or we do nothing.

The banner idea is the best.

Lol plane banners. Plane banners make fans look like total tools, take that from someone who is a fan of a club that’s now had its supporter groups go down that route a few times.

And it’s actually massively disruptive if you do it in a way that people are going to notice it as the attention goes away from the game and into the sky. In fact it can be distruptive even when it hasn’t shown up as everyone is waiting for it

As I said in the shoutbox yesterday as well you need to time tany protest right. Without new players the clubs getting relegated. The minute the club officially goes on sale it’s going to go under a transfer embargo. As you aren’t going to turn up to Tuesdays game, protest and then they sell up and the fact that even if there is someone who would put in an instant bid there is going to be about a month of due diligence then you stand a real chance of wiping out January’s window and guaranteeing relegation (and could be the kind of thing that makes the manager walk). Obviously you can say will Edin give any money for Jan and obviously he may not but a chance is better than no chance. And the club staying up is better all round, getting relegated is potentially a slippery slope

Totally agree, it’s our human right to protest peacefully. The Kop protested peacefully yesterday, you can’t ban freedom of speech.

    What did we see yesterday?

If a protest is organised and everyone knows about it, it can happen. This can become a regular occurrence where a protest takes place at the same time, outside the ground, before every match.

Yeah I could imagine him spending a fair bit of time doing that. Instead of running the club properly.
