The question has been raised as to whether or not there is an appetite for a protest organised by us here on BantamTalk. I believe there probably will be.

    Let's look into organising something.

For what it's worth, I heard the other City forum (the unfiltered one ;) ) are purchasing a billboard advertisement.

What do you want to see?

(and if you don't want to see anything, there is no need to comment)

The only protest that would achieve anything is not to go. They already know how the fans feel, and obviously they're not bothered.

The last thing we need on here or as a fan base is to argue amongst ourselves. We might need to have different styles of protest so that ppl can feel comfortable with what they are doing, everything is valid and everyone is valued. These are the ones I have picked up but not exhausted list. We also might need to join in other protests that are taking place.

    1. The airplane banner
    2. Chanting at games
    3. Deliberately walking out of games; to be effective it needs to be organised
    4. Not turning up for matches. As 3.
    5. Protests before and after games outside the ground.
    6. Billboard protest. The Cows arse are organising this, so you can make financial contribution. They are working out what to have in so it is accepted by the advertising company.

Please feel free to add to the list, we will also need a few ppl to organise any off the above. Then we will need a coordinated media program. Twitter, Facebook etc. Hastag, contracting the traditional media, so photos can be taken/cameras. We all have smartphones these days so any protest can be filmed and out into social media in minutes.

There is only one option. We all know what to do but I fear that come March time there will be too many who are too selfish to give up their Saturday afternoons. There is only one way to get these cockroaches out of our club. Anyone buying a season ticket for 19/20 is a traitor. You are funding the death of our club. Make no mistake a protest will at best be ignored and at worst be enjoyed as 'light entertainment' by the circus upstairs!

I think the plane banner is the best option

Everyone gets to see this and would be in the news and on tv

Doesn't disrupt the players during the match and would get the attention it deserves

A bill board banner will be seen by what 5% of the fans and probably not make the news.. even if it gets accepted

70 people paying a tenner gets job done

    It could say

    BANTAMTALK SAYS EDIN OUT !!!

A large banner/s to take to away games (probably not get it in at VP) is a possible idea, but it's effectiveness is another matter entirely.

At least with the billboard it remains for a longer duration, i think the media would pick up on it, it's a lot easier these days and if fans take the time to get more organised it shows there is more to it that some dusgruntled fans moaning. it's not like the undercurrent and loss of confidence in our owners is a big secret - it's been mentioned in national press and on the FLS by Colin Murray etc.

The plane has been used by various clubs, I guess it is another option, similar to above just shorter in duration but maybe more immediate impact.

In the end though, voting with our feet is probably the most effective financially and visually, it's a difficult thing for many fans to do though and it's hard not to have sympathy with that. It's a really crap situation we are currently in, it feels like a complete vicious circle whatever we do.

Or it could simply say "Edin Out" as that's the real message we are trying to get across rather than chiping in to promote the forum?

The countdown massive won’t be impressed, we’ll achieve our target in no time :)

I suggest something slightly different, the next Sat home game organise a march from North Parade with a huge banner at the front.

Sorry but for obvious reasons I can't partake in the physical protest, although if there I most certainly would.
All I can suggest is continual chanting of "Edin Out" throughout all the game, regardless of whether we are winning (most unlikely) or not.
It should still be done whether he is at the game or whether he's run away to Germany again. Word will still get back.

By the way, I am in too.

We could all wave England flags and the banner could say "F*ck Off Back Home!" ;)
