I thought they did well when they came on. Probably the best I've seen from Guthrie.
Great bit of skill to create the chance for Cooke near the end.

 

That will be 5 seconds worth watching. Guthrie flicking on to no one. Donaldson getting caught offside, Donaldson looking like he is running in treacle. Guthrie knocking the ball for dead and then blaming the lino! These players are not good enough.

I wholeheartedly agree, and have said so all season long, that Donaldson and Guthrie are nowhere near good enough. I've got tired of posting complaints about Donaldson in particular, as McCall had to rely on him in way too many games and he's clearly ready to put to pasture.

But there's a big difference to me acknowledging that Guthrie in particular did pretty well tonight, and me suddenly declaring that he's fantastic and I want to keep him. I don't. But fair's fair. I thought he was fine.

 

They did pretty well as subs for me, Wood had a guilt edged chance to score and make the score line 3-1 because of them. No way is Donaldson a starter but he is a decent sub as long as you don’t desperately need a goal.

 

It was Cooke not Wood.

 

To be fair that pass with the outside of his right foot was the only notable thing I can recall he has done since joining the club. No doubt someone else will be able to add to his repertoire. I cannot.

 

By the way, whoever the Mod was the edited mine and Keefly's posts tonight, fair play for being level headed and just editing the stupid comments out and not making a big deal out of it

Same story most weeks with Cooke.

It's so frustrating, one of the most frustrating things that regularly happens with us this season. He's obviously a talented player, and when games open up he's getting in all the right positions - but he cannot finish a one on one to save his life!

It's his stiletto studs, he only gets them out at Christmas so will be back to normal height in January.
