Just connect an HDMI lead (found in your sky box, kids computers etc) from your TV to the laptop and it'll play on the TV. It'll take seconds. All you may have to do is select the correct HDMI channel on your remote.

Forgive me, but why does one one positive test call a game off in L2, but three positive tests for West Ham and they can still carry on as normal?

The Grimsby chairman was interviewed two days before the positive test, complaining about the cost of testing and bigging up the 'covid clause' they have put in new players contracts, plus mentioning that all the players were on a reduced wage until they started training full time again. I don't know about tactical postponements, but the cynic in me does wonder if this is a crafty way for them to try and save a few bob on wages for a couple of weeks.

That was my understanding as well which might well explain some of the shenanigans at Grimsby. The takeover has been on and off for some time now with a number of potential purchasers but Fenty doesn't seem to know what he wants. I think currently it's in an 'off' phase but could equally be back 'on' next week or next month. It's further confused by Grimsby wanting to sell their current site for redevelopment and build a new ground. Fenty just happens to be deputy leader of the local council!

Seemingly separate to this but clearly linked, their chairman (Philip Day?) has already written to the EFL trying to get League 2 games suspended and bringing the schedule to a halt. He has also been making noises about lower league clubs having to pay for Covid 19 testing which he believes the EFL and/or the FA should pay for since the clubs are simply complying with their Covid protocol! There's more going on there than Grimsby simply being concerned about the next couple of fixtures.

Mccall suggesting it was a grimsby youth player who either had symptoms or positive test.

He said if every club do what grimsby did season will never end.

Also said why do ther need 14 days to deep clean training ground. Said we deep cleaned Apperley bridge in 1 day on Wednesday when they had a day off

Yeah this all doesn't seem right and is extremely worrying for the rest of the season. Grimsby seem to have their own agenda and are using 'medical advice' as a cover. Obviously everyone needs to be safe but at some point we need to get on with life or there will be even more severe consequences for everyone and not just football clubs.

I do hope I am wrong on this and there is some information that hasn't been released and that this was in fact a sensible decision but it doesn't seem that way.

Didn't they say that they weren't getting the rest of the squad tested due to a 5 day incubation period? Well tomorrow will mark 5 days, surely could get tested then and they would then know if they can play at the weekend?

“As per last weekend’s game against Cheltenham Town, which was also suspended, the circumstances surrounding the postponement will be the subject of an investigation in accordance with EFL Regulations

You would be better off spending your time on the Stevenage forum to find out how to play a game with more than 1 player testing positive and then relay that back to your chairman.

I don't know but given the EFL reaction and likely penalties hanging over Orient, I suspect Grimsby can expect the same. Doing a bit of detective type thinking, matters in my mind become clearer.
Today Port Vale have announced they have shut down their Academy for two weeks isolation due to a case/cases. That closure does not affect the rest of the Club's squad.
Grimsby on the other hand have had this positive case out on loan at Spalding, at least one level lower than Park Avenue. Presumably he is a young lad from their Academy and all Academies are obliged under Protocol to keep the players in different groups separate from each other, we do at Apperley Bridge.
The detective in me wonders if Grimsby have broken the EFL protocol and this youngster (possibly the whole Academy) have been training with all the rest, hence the complete shut down.

The EFL have said there is a full investigation, if I'm right they can expect major action.

The T&A making it clear again this morning that it is Philip Day who is driving the call for the league to be suspended. The same man whose club have called off 3 games because a young squad player who is currently on loan to Spalding tested positive for Covid. Coincidence? I think not. I hope the EFL throw the book at them.

I think that’s the aim the Grimsby owners want the season suspended and they are trying to push it along

Steve Baines went on to become a Football League referee, making his final appearance in that role in 2003 at Valley Parade.

Fairness and common sense? Absolutely, that is what should prevail. However, can you honestly say that is what has happened? Is it common sense to shut down a training ground for two weeks, when other clubs have had theirs deep cleaned and been back to it within 48 hours? Is it fair that a club that has had one positive test for a fringe player who was on loan at another club (who have continued to play their games by the way), are allowed to postpone 2 league matches when another club in the same league that had 3 players test positive have continued to play their games?
There is absolutely no consistency and that is the problem because as long as it continues, there will be clubs that use the situation to their advantage.
