I am sure the banter is good.

But l cycled into Leeds a few weeks back & locked up my bike outside the Hop. I don't know who they were playing but every bar was rammed, on the south side of the station were 100's of pissed up guys waiting to board double deckers to the game, all integrated like......& here we are, Bradford backward, same league as l first saw them, takes me 2 fookin trips to VP to watch 1 match, something that'd be considered backward in fookin Peshwar, nothing changes.

Fine with that. No intention of going again this season, I've paid more than an ST so the usual tight arsed £6 a game "supporter" suspects can STFU.

I am in a minority, l know that, most who l go with just want a City win, they don't notice tactics, the oppo or anything really. So in their eyes our manager is doing a good job and tbh he is.

But Jones is another L2 manager, who was afforded time, 2 and a half years in his case and it worked

And Luton were always reasonable spenders

I don't think it should be a given that Bowyer goes if he fails after one season. Of course, if he's appearing to be making less progress as the season goes on, then maybe

to be fair Luton had worked their way up from non-League again...unlike us who have trended in the opposite direction

At Swindon Bowyer and Wellens exchanged words. In fact they had a bit of a spat. The next thing they were making up hugging each other. I like my manager to be totally focused on the game and not in any way pleasant to the opposition while the match is in progress. I suspect Bowyer is a nice man and probably too bland to lead and motivate. Certainly he didn’t get a reaction in the second half yesterday whatever he said or didn’t say at half time. If you have this type of manager it’s vital he has a number two who can kick backsides. We are lacking in that department as well.

City may be in the same league as when you first started, however its Leeds who have gone backwards. Leeds were one of the best teams in Europe when you started watching City with crowds well over 40,000, now they are a team playing in the 2nd tier with less support

Give it six months they'll be back in the top division with sell out crowds.

You would think so, however they have history for blowing it, even under Bielsa

Brentford look good and are playing the best football, would need to keep their form up though and everyone has a bad run. I'm not sure i can bare the thought of them being in the prem and us stuck in the khazi.

Yes would love to see 'little' Brentford pip the fans self titled champions of Europe to an automatic spot and then Leeds to blow it again in the playoffs against Wednesday

Got to give credit to Mathew Benham, he's vision has made Brentford a top end championship club with a real vision of how to go forward. Granted its cost a bucketload but can't help but feel a tinge of jealousy over a club with a new stadium round the corner and scouting system that is starting to regularly produce players with high sell on fees.

got to remember who they’ve sold recently too. It doesn’t bother them. They have a plan and stuck to it

Benham's involvement with Brentford has been remarkable. He has used analytics (not surprising given how he made his many millions) and the so-called 'moneyball' approach as used by a few teams in NFL and NBL to identify undervalued players to recruit. And although it's early days, it's proving worthwhile both for Brentford and the club he owns in Denmark. Oh yes, and of course the £100mill+ he has invested in Brentford's squad, training facilities, scouting and now a new ground has helped more than a little bit!

Yeah the history behind him is a really good read. The influx of £100 million certainly helps but in business terms if you want a vision to succeed you have to invest at the beginning. It also helps that he made his fortune from gambling therefore he understands that for anything to work you have to gamble to some extent. His vision has taken a non descript club going nowhere to a club with a clear strategy in place for the future. Their success has very little luck attached to it, its down to hard work and a lot of backing

This is a quote from when Bowyer was appointed.

"We are looking to create a team which will give the supporters – and the city – something to be proud of. We want to deliver success."

“I pride myself on having big, physical and strong teams – with the ability to play good football."

The last paragraph is most poignant at this moment in time. This team is neither physical (in midfield where it's needed most), nor playing good football. I don't believe he can find the right balance between being totally defensive or attack minded.

Most would agree that a midfield enforcer is needed to provide a platform to build attacks and break up play. This has to be a priority this window, as well as a keeper it would seem. How much is left in the kitty, who knows.

Woke up and we've not sacked him lol.

Oh yeah, we have a German who couldn't give a flying f*ck about the club's best interests and Julian who is there to pick up a wage packet. There is no control.

    Rupp Out
    Rhodes Out
    Bowyer Out

    Time for change.

I wouldn't be so sure. If we had a squad of players similar to that which Parky had in L2 or L1 for that matter - full of big physical players with next to no technical ability, I would totally agree with you.

But I don't think that's what we have at all in this squad which is what makes the situation even more bizarre. We have a squad of genuinely decent technical players, more than adequate for L2 football. In fact, Bowyer has signed the likes of Cooke, Pritchard, Palmer, Devitt, Ismail and clearly rates McCartan, Reeves and Doyle. All players who you would not in your wildest dreams associate with the defensive long ball dross which we witness every week. There is not one player, other than the CBs, who suits his style of football, we aren't playing to anyone's strengths.

So an attack minded manager in the mould of Jones, I think, would make a difference to this squad.

    100% this!

It really is about time Bradford City fans wake up to the situation. It's a club going nowhere but backwards.

    Changes are needed urgently!
