There is no doubt in my mind that Walsall will come set up to frustrate us and hopefully hold out for a point. Just like the other evening. What we must do is come out of the blocks firing on all cylinders and get a goal. They would then have to re-adjust and hopefully not be set up to do so, making it easier for us to play through them and score.
With regard to people complaining about only playing one up front and the response that we have four attacking players comes back to my point about Callum Cooke. I feel that he should be looking to get into attacking positions more, getting shots off and also getting into the box for knockdowns etc. To my mind he looks as if he feels as if he splays the ball around in midfield then he has done his job. He is the central attacking midfielder and should be looking to get on the score sheet more often.

 

We really need to try and keep this thread on track

 

To be fair to Cooke its the only part of his game thats below par and something he'll admit himself he needs to work on. But look at the other stats of his game, most metres run the match, best pass percentage completion, now we've got better players upfront his assist numbers are rising, earlier in the season he was creating chances even when played out of position but our strikers didn't capitalise. A good way to judge his influence on this team would be to take him out of it, i wouldn't fancy our chances of winning today if we did.

Anyhow, looking forward to the game, Saturdays are becoming (from a football point of view) more interesting.

Feeling the optimistic vibe, so....

Feel like it will be a 1.1 draw but I said that about Cheltenham game and looked what happened.

2.00am start for me so too late, probably get up early for the 6.00am start v Mansfield.

Not quite as bad compared to the 4.00am start for the Swansea League Cup final game when I was living in New Zealand.

Remember like it was yesterday walking into a water front bar in Auckland and seeing city shirts at 3.30am!!

 

In fairness I was only a couple of hours behind them at UK time. Can't remember too much of the game but it seems like I didn't miss much!
