I like him, but thinks he’s a confidence player and not a hard worker. So Jon’s spot on and I was going to say the same. We lost a lot when we took both Cook(e)’s off imo and that’s on the managers, but I’m not going to be too critical. It’s another win away from home, talk of relegation is a thing of the past, from potentially a derby with Halifax next season if we keep going and improving we could be playing Sunderland and Sheffield Wednesday instead! Football is such a fickle sport.

Just a note on the Don, only player who showed composure in the last 5 minutes. Gets some stick on here but he’s done a job at the end of the last two games.

That last 15 minutes were very nervy after cruising but a wins a win. Need to see more from Rowe and Clarke off the bench in those situations. Thought Donaldson did more in his 5 minutes than they did in in their 15.

 

Not posted on here much lately. I cannot believe the run we are on and I am honestly so gutted we are not able to get into the ground to see this team play. It could quite easily be the best end to the seasons ever with no real expectations to an almost inevitable outcome of us going up. That’s how confident I feel. The signings have been fantastic and gelled quickly and the new management duo are working wonders.
It’s a great time long may it continue.

 

It's lost on some that out of the subs Donaldson contributed the most.

I find myself agreeing with every bloody decision Trueman makes. Even the subs were the right decision, taking off key players and asking others to go on a do a role. If you're 2 nil up you don't risk your influential players with such a fixture pile up coming. Much more fun when you could slag the manager off after a game.

I really like some of your posts Al but on this one, I can't see it. Tranmere will fill 1 of the top 3 spots. Forest Green are 11 in front of us with +10 better goal difference and we only have 1 game in hand. Cheltenham, recovered excellently after we beat em with two wins to nil are 10 in front of us, +11 better goal difference, again we only have 1 fame in hand.

I got why you have said it. I'd love it to happen, don't get me wrong but a play off place from our starting point would be an incredible achievement.

Clarke has had a solid season, not as good as the new signings, but is a useful player and participates in both attack and defence.

Not that it matters, totally different players in totally different roles.

Clarke isn't yet washed up though.

 

I feel Playoffs now realistic, autos are not, it would still be a truly fantastic turnaround

 

Considering the short period of time the new faces have been in the building and taking into account the mess we were in prior to them joining I personally think they have all done a great job integrating with the other squad players.
Playing Saturday, Tuesday of late would not be the norm but nobody is letting anyone down they are still finding their way as a group and doing a cracking job.
Yesterday's win was another example of togetherness.
No one is intentionally shirking or sulking.
Little time to draw breath under T & S let alone single individual players out for the scapegoat treatment.
