Reading this thread you wouldn’t think we had just picked up 16 points out of the last 18.

Whilst I really like Crankshaw I wouldn’t leave Evans out for an away match

Rowe has had a couple of quiet games word has got around. The way we were forced to play last didn’t suit he will be much better in an open game. He will be a big part of the next few months

Know what you mean I almost fancy us more away when we can soak up pressure and then hit teams on the break.

Agree with calls for Cook to come in for Rowe as he can't play Tuesday and should be up for it against his ex club. I think Crankshaw's also earned a start after really valuable contributions from the bench. I'd bring him on for Vernam not Evans though. Think Vernam and crankshaw might leave us a bit exposed defensively.

Wondering how far off a suspension watt and Sutton are, can't be far off. They've struck up a good understanding in the middle. Guessing it'd be Evans to come into the middle should we need someone to do a job in there

This is an analysis of the home form of Walsall, which is viewed as poor. Looking at it they seem to score on average a goal a game, yet lose more games. If they sit back and try to stop us scoring, then the chances of a draw or an odd goal, becomes greater. If they attack, then the game could open up and I would fancy us scoring a couple. A lot will depend on how Walsall set up and their game plan.

The loss of Adebayo has cost them they were on a decent run before that and probably was the reason Clarke jumped ship

Feel like it will be a 1.1 draw but I said that about Cheltenham game and looked what happened.

2.00am start for me so too late, probably get up early for the 6.00am start v Mansfield.

Not quite as bad compared to the 4.00am start for the Swansea League Cup final game when I was living in New Zealand.

Remember like it was yesterday walking into a water front bar in Auckland and seeing city shirts at 3.30am!!

Cook and Crankshaw, well deserve a start and good to see Clarke on the bench. A strong City squad.

League table looking promising now. 2 more wins and we are virtually safe from relegation.

Cooke being out would be a disaster.

Every single away commentary has singled him out, so it's not just City fans noticing that he stands out.

No Cooke + no Cook would be a bit of a disaster - Rowe has looked good when he's started games, but replacing Callum's current level of influence would be a big ask.

Going from Cooke, who before today was involved in almost all our goals, to Billy Clarke, who rarely scores or directly assists, will be a big blow.

No offence to Billy, because I think he has performed well this season and in terms of work rate and control there won't be a lot of difference, but in terms of an end product (which is absolutely crucial when you're winning games by a single goal), it's a big loss.

Tranmere and Bolton along with ourselves , are the form teams.
I think Tranmere will get the autos. Bolton could drop quite a few places once there is parity of matches played.
Forest green to win the league with cheltnam the other auto.
Cambridge playoffs, anyone from us upwards in the table, could make up the rest of the top seven positions.
Its a lot better than trying to work out who we mjght have to beat to stay in the league.

Both Clarke and Rowe were poor when they came on yet only one seems to be getting grief. Favouritsm often clouds judgement.

Loving the debate tonight. City fans are back to normal. We win away yet again, continue our impressive form and all people can do is bicker over who was the best sub today.

If you have a really decent defender, which I think AOC is in Lg 2, for me the only reason not to renew his contract would be about the money he's on, or expects to re-sign on. If you've a player showing the kind of consistency he has - and oh my goodness, hasn't Canavan made such a difference in influence to that for all of our defence - I'd say for all his previous indiscretions, much better the devil you know.

I’d like to see Vernam on his natural left side with Crankshaw as you say, let’s see what these pacey lads can do to them.

I’m sure Cook will be up front on Saturday against his old club Walsall and then that will save Rowe for Mansfield, as Cook isn’t allowed to play against Mansfield as he’s on loan to us from them.
