In the second half I can only remember them having two decent chances. We had four or five tbh. I thought Bronco’s assessment was accurate. I take your word on the Songoo pen though as not seen a replay.

in terms of City chances we hit the post through Gillead, Paudie had a header that led to a scramble just wide and Robinson had a few chances he wasted too, along with one he almost latched onto and might have stabbed past the keeper. With the wind behind us we had them worriesd whipping in crosses into the box.

overall, a crap result. But we could have won 4-1 in that second half.

 

That was garbage. Second half we showed some effort and intensity but still had the quality of an u16 game on a Sunday morning.

Can't even get mad at it anymore. Just resigned to us being shit every week. What a sad state of affairs.

 

I honestly don’t care what he says, I always thought supporting a team was about sticking around through thick and thin. Most people outside this forum probably share that view too.
I always used to think this forum was for the die hard fans but it seems to be for the loudest.

 

Oh, I'm not saying we should get rid of him just when I put together all the various bits we've been told it feels a bit odd. Personal view, I think Ryan got a bit excited. I think if he could go back to the start of the season he might say a few things differently.

I haven't mentioned Ryan Sparks on here since remarking, shortly after he was appointed, that he came over as being a bit thick. That was perhaps unkind but not much has happened since then to change that rather raw opinion. I think he really believes he can pull the wool over people's eyes but an awful lot can see right through him. As someone once said in another context, he isn't bright enough to realise how dim he is.

 

Agree, and replace Gilliead who is an absolute charlatan as a footballer.

What I expected to see today I saw. A team just going through motions.

Do minimum they have to and at times not even that...as after giving ball away twice within a few seconds Threlkeld jogged back, no breaking his neck to correct mistake...sums this team up

Can't decide if it's either there not good enough or don't care..tbh I think it's a mixture of both

 

I've been on quite a few other clubs forums over the years, and there isn't another club who has such a negative overall view, moans so much about owners or generally has such an overflated expectation that we should be higher up the league because of things like our support or expect managers to succeed so quickly.

Give it a year and see where we are once Adams has had chance to weed the vegetable plot.

Doesnt matter what he says really, he is damned either way.
If he said we are in a period of change he would get roasted for not having any ambition.
As far as i am aware we still have 27 games left to play, and he hasn't failed his objective. Its only November.

 

While Rupp and Sparks are here he has no chance.

Agreed, although devil advocate is it wise to play down expectations at season ticket sale time? We can criticise Sparks but not for how many season tickets we have sold at an increased rate. I’d buy if he was honest and said we’ve been in a mess it’s a two year project for promotion but would near 13,000? Personally I prefer honesty but can see why he would big promotion up here and now.

 

This forum and those before, reflects the on field performance of Bradford City. In good times, positive, well meaning post a are aplenty. Flip that around and you have the current posts and negativity.

I hate saying this, this is the hardest I’ve found it to be bothered about City since my first games in 1979. It’s been a slow drip but everything about the club seems truly hopeless at the moment. I am a positive person, but, as things stand, I don’t see how things will improve. Our recruitment policies just seem pitiful and whilst I realise all recruitment is a gamble to some extent, ours seems a throw of the dice or a mad scramble to get someone, anyone time after time. We change managers like overcoats with nil effect. How often will a Parky come along?

 

I feel the same. I’ve missed the last 2 away games due to Covid and have watched on iFollow.
I thought I’d be gutted to miss them but in the end the only feeling I had was ‘I’m glad I wasn’t there.’
It’s getting so hard to muster any kind of excitement, enthusiasm or optimism before any game.

Mangers they are failing should be sacked. Managers are judged by results.

Problem with Bradford City is that it doesn’t need a manager it needs a Head Coach and until the direction is addressed in the boardroom then we will go nowhere.

Sparks is out of his depth. Utter clueless! Rupp doesn’t care and now we have allowed a crap manager for us to rip everything up and do what he wants even though he can’t get results .

We need to work from the top down but Adams as MANAGER should be under pressure because he is FAILING here BADLY.
