As well as he’s played, I’d prefer him in the middle of the park. We lost the midfield battle on Saturday and need some bite in there. That said, all 3 of Watt, Sutton and Songo’O gave the ball away needlessly. Something we need to stop as this leads to pressure, and in Watts case, silly free kicks and bookings.

 

I thought we were fairly even first half but lost our way a bit when Sutton went to RB.....and my god he was awful there if indeed thats where he was supposed to be playing...and I like Sutton

I think it is Songo’o who has got fit or upped his game rather than his position change. I think he would be ideal sitting just in front of the back four breaking things up

Watt has been very weak this season and quite a lot of last. Losing possession by trying long diagonals is one thing, but his short passing has been third rate as well. FCD back to replace Threlkeld and Sutton & Songo'o defensive midfield for me once Canavan is back.

You can go through a full season removing certain games that don't suit your narrative though.

If we stick to the facts it's 13 in 27 appearances. That's a good return at any standard and especially considering he's been isolated for much of it.
