Let's face it, Vernam and especially Cooke and Gillead aren't contributing enough in terms of goal involvement. It's not just down to a single player.

 

I agree with what you say. However when you have Sparks saying promotion is the target, and everyone can see the squad lacks goals, the signing of a 32 year old with 120 goals in 500+ appearances and who was supposedly pushed out to make way for Guthrie, well it hardly gives you confidence does it? Sparks has to take some of the flack for being so upbeat for season ticket and sponsorship sales whilst overseeing yet another shit show of a transfer window.

It’s up to Theo to prove every single one of us wrong now. I hope he does. I don’t think he will but it’s up to him.

 

I’m going 09.23 from Wakey, change Cheltenham and arrive Newport 13.12. Leave Newport 17.59, change Cheltenham and arrive Wakey 21.46, home for MOTD. The ground is less than half a mile from the station, 10 minute walk.

There's just something missing that sends me to sleep watching them. Probably the tempo we play at, it's like watching the cast of Cocoon at times.

 

From what I've seen I don't think Robinson has any problem rolling his sleeves up....he just doesn't look good enough

 

I thought we were fairly even first half but lost our way a bit when Sutton went to RB.....and my god he was awful there if indeed thats where he was supposed to be playing...and I like Sutton

Thats pretty much how I saw it. We defended well, got blocks in etc. Our approach play in the first half was very good. We just lacked a good striker. Second half we weren't as fluent, but rarely do teams play well for 90 mins.

I actually came away think we're just a quality striker away from being a team who i think could be top 7 at the least

 

Or as we're all hoping Angol returns and we return to the sort of football we played with those two as our attacking options, as yourself I'm hoping come January Addams will be adding more quality.
