    Not necessarily. My brother in law was offered a scholarship there years ago yet my in laws didn't have two pound coins to scratch their arse with.

    Slightly related, but my 3rd great grandfather, the Rev. Dr. Jabez Bunting, was one of the founders of Woodhouse Grove School. It was originally for the children of Methodist ministers. I did toy with the idea of seeing if it would get me a discount on fees, but decided not.

    Lucky those who can get granted a scholarship or have a parent who works there and gets their kids in for free/reduced fees. Imagine having to pay £7k a term….and some send a few kids. Christ. On here we whinge about paying £2 odd for a bottle of coke.

    My bro in law was on his maths grades, unfortunately due to a lazy father and a mother who knew no better he never went. To be fair he did end up at Durham Uni as a mature student so it has worked out.

    Train tickets booked. Used one of @StaffordBantam@StaffordBantam favourites https://book.splitticketing.com/default.aspx After playing about on it got a stunning deal. This will involve one change and is about 45 minutes longer than a direct train, but with a card, it is tremendous, virtually paying you to make the journey! I am going down on the Friday and back on the Sunday so a couple of nights thrown in.

    I have just noticed that Leyton Orient are playing Harrogate on Tuesday night away.
    A midweek 90 minutes plus a fairly long journey will hopefully tire them out and give us a bit of an advantage on Saturday.

    Saw Nathan Clarke a few months ago at a Soccer Camp in Huddersfield.

    Very under rated defender for us. Always did a fine job when called upon.
