If some moron doesn't throw it onto the pitch, the rest never happens. This just days after a riot abandoned a game in France for throwing things at players.

If a anyone feels the need to lob things onto the pitch at a game, please feck off and don't attend our fixtures.

That's as bad as a performance as I have seen in a while as a whole team. I can't remember the last time the middle 3 were non existent and to say Songo'o was meant to be the beast we were missing he looked very poor today, the amount of times his man went past him without him getting near him was shocking. Sutton looks a better option there when fit. Watt seems to be deprived of confidence was always caught on the ball. Cooke tried but that's about it . As for Vernam and Gilliead did the actually touch the ball a dozen times between them. Andy cook might has well have stayed at home he had no service what's so ever. To give ROD MOM says alot to how bad we were. I know you can't win them all but at least put in a performance of sorts. Just hope it's a one off and DA shows us exactly what he is about.

Sparks has been completely upfront about the fact promotion is the aim this season and anything less isn't good enough. He's brought in the man he believes can achieve that, and that man thinks we need a couple more in before the window closes, but it seems he is being told finances only stretch to one more coming in. I hope Adams publicly stating that yesterday leads to further funds being made available. I get that Sparks is trying to run a tight ship and doesn't want us to live beyond our means, but we aren't talking mega bucks here and it would be madness to not give Adams access to the tools he needs to do his job.

 

Give it a rest FFS. We get it - you think that only those with the available time, money, inclination and lack of other domestic priorities to travel to every away game, no matter how far, should be classed as 'loyal' supporters and eligible to get first dibs on limited available tickets.
People's priorities change over time and from week to week depending on their personal circumstances. You may choose to base your every free hour around City matters but not everyone has that luxury, including many who've supported City through thick and (mostly) thin for decades.

The post mortem on the first goal is irrelevant. As Adams said himself our goal was under siege from HT onwards and it was only a matter of time before they scored. They'd already fluffed some clear chances and looked to have already had the ball over the line after it had bounced down off the underside of the bar. The facts are we as a team were well beaten. The endless debate on who should take what proportion of the blame is immaterial.

 

I'll get you a ticket @Dubai bantam. I got a priority away membership but only in case we get a big glamour cup tie, so I won't be needing it for league games

 

Gutted about today as much as everyone, but I'll be honest I'm over it already end of the day we need about 82 points from 46 games to achieve our goal, I don't give a fk wer they come from but by my maths we're still on track, we're going to have to accept bumps along the way, we have a squad of L2 players and there L2 players for a reason, if they performed at peak every week then they wouldn't be playing for us. I've attended hundreds of games without throwing anything onto the pitch. It's really not difficult to do.

I agree. I think this idea that the standard in L2 has dropped is bunk. Some of the football played in L2 nowadays is amazing compared to the lump it forward, clogging stuff played on mudbath pitches in the past. For instance, the speed and accuracy with which we moved the ball forward between several players to create chances in our last two games.
I was watching a Sky Premier Years game from ten years ago the other day. I was amazed at how poor it was compared to the current standard. The skill level has increased dramatically in recent years and I believe that has filtered down to the lower divisions. I think our expectations have increased accordingly, by comparison with what we see in the top divisions, often blinding us to how good the standard is now.

 

Not sure who put 20p in you, but pipe down
