The performance was obviously poor today but before the Mansfield game I would have taken two points from the two games and we have three.
Both Mansfield and Leyton Orient will be in the mix for the top seven so two very difficult fixtures out out of the way.
hopefully Sutton and Threlkeld will be back next week and we will have signed some competition up front. Still a great start with plenty to play for

Very poor game and we conceded to very sloppy goals although good finishes they shouldn’t have been on the ball to get them off, all that game took was more intensity and to win our 50/50s but we just didn’t do the basics at all. They were better and deserved the win in what was a dour game.

We’ll lose games this season, it’s now about how we respond next week need to put it behind us.

The club is LAZY! It's a club that makes excuses for failure. You only need to read posts on here from some to understand that but Adams won't stand for it. He will tell it how it is to the powers at be. No dancing! No excuses!

He is what this club needs at this moment in time for sure.

ROD concedes a hell of a lot of worldies.. The amount od worldies he concedes you would think he is playing in the champions league or world cup… These worldies are all due to his horrendous positioning

Train tickets booked. Used one of @StaffordBantam@StaffordBantam favourites https://book.splitticketing.com/default.aspx After playing about on it got a stunning deal. This will involve one change and is about 45 minutes longer than a direct train, but with a card, it is tremendous, virtually paying you to make the journey! I am going down on the Friday and back on the Sunday so a couple of nights thrown in.

Because i'd spend more time in the toliets than watching the game. Had to knock on a guys door away at Grimsby before lockdown otherwise i'd have pissed myself. And that was 2 cans of pepsi.

I know this gets spouted a lot and I don’t like saying it, but the league this year looks very weak. It looks more non league than the national league, I hope we go up this season because if Wrexham and Stockport both come up I’d expect them to be immediately challenging for promotion again.

Nice one mate, see you at the game. My train leaves Shipley at 06:37 in the morning (Kings Cross 09:31), taking my good lady, she's having a day in London. Train back 19:33 from Kings Cross, gets into Shipley at 22:04. With Railcards £38 each.

Those that have it don't need to boast about it. Those that boast about it tend not to have it.

Meanwhile……..it is a lovely sunny day down here in London, dry a bit of cloud, but an excellent day for a game. Let’s hope the team turns up and the 800+ fans get a game to savour.

Absolutely no complaints, we were totally ineffective. It’s as simple as that. They weren’t much better!

I believe it was Songo who quoted when he signed, you can play well in a winning team on the Saturday, train hard all week and not figure on the following Saturdays team sheet, that's what we need from the top a man with a ruthless streak, ultimately it's Adams job on the line, I thought his post match interview was exactly as most fair minded fans saw it beaten by a team who had the will to get hold of the game second half and come at us.

This might prove to be a blessing in disguise over the coming weeks. A reminder that when we're not on it, and not doing the ugly stuff well, we'll take nothing. We're a good side, but not that good that we can go through the motions and expect to take anything. Standards need to be high, all the time.

Fair play to orient today. Stifled our midfield and dealt with our only other outlet Cook easily. He is not a target man and they knew it. We really missed Angol today for that other dimension up front.

Songo'o - let's hope he comes on with match fitness.
ROD - still so hesitant in the 6 yard box. Looked like they could score numerous times - corners were targeted at this deficiency as well.
Cooke - they knew who the playmaker was and absolutely wrapped him up.

Can we attack more down the right as well please? Gillead has a turn of pace, can beat a man, and is a world ahead of vernam control wise but doesn't seem to get enough of the ball. Don't know why vernam didn't just sidefoot the ball home in the first half after Gillead had performed a virtual miracle to beat men and provide a pinpoint cross.

Still a great start to the season. Few wouldn't have taken this start. Bounce back next week and we are still on track.

I am a little disappointed that the club can’t afford to bring a couple of players in if the manager wants them. I am well aware of the effect on finances of clubs of the pandemic.but we sold more season tickets than budgeted for and at both home games there were plenty paying at the gate.
It sounds like Angol was missed today let’s hope we can bring someone in who can match his all round play and add goals

Thought it had gone in the near post watching it live yesterday but it’s gone over him. He Stands up and it smacks him in the face. Shouldn’t get a shot away from there but sorry it wasn’t van basten. ROD should save it. As for the second it was a decent shot but not thumped in from outside the area. Disappointed he didn’t save that too. TBF ROD wasn’t the reason we lost. We were poor all over and particularly in midfield where we were poor in possession and lost most of the midfield battle. Outfought and out thought. Felt for Cook. Balls leathered from deep to his head up against two big lads who were very physical. Those who think we don’t miss Angol give your head a wobble. The ball sticks when played up to Angol. We desperately missed that yesterday. His ability to take the ball in the move and link with Cooke in particular. He is a big miss although his finishing is suspect.
