    Why would I?

I didn’t think it was particularly good last Saturday or that Mellor deserved MoTM, so why would I this week?

Why did the full backs get to the half way Line and turn back all the time?

Was so frustrating. Then it went back across back four. And repeat

You mean like you’ve just suggested? A right winger on the left and a right-back in central midfield. You’re as bonkers as Bowyer

I presume you weren't sitting anywhere near the right hand of the away stand then Bronco? Our disabled supporters had to be moved by stewards to the Grimsby section to get away from City fans surging towards the front. There was also a smoke bomb set off (I don't think it was a flare, not 100% sure). Aside from all the issues this brings on the club from the FA, the side effects irritated my breathing and I now have a cough and dry throat that I didn't have before.
There wasn't any actual disorder, but the risk of it was reasonably high I think, given that Grimsby isn't too far from Bradford and the nearer the away venue, the more of our badly behaved fans tend to travel.

    Stewarding and policing was shocking.
Im not against chanting with swearing or over zealous celebrations and don't mind a bit niggle between sets of supporters as long as it doesn't end up in violence but some of our supporters take the piss.
Standing on stairs, trying to encroach into other peoples seats just to stand up.
Did none of them see they were right behind where a dozen or so of our disabled supporters were sitting??
I traveled with my 6 year old son and a friend of mine and her 9 year old boy who has severe autism and mobility issues. I was sat 5 rows behind her.
Throughout the whole game my son was stood on his seat so he could see, fair enough no issues.
But the amount of times a lad stood in front of him as we were in the aisle seats so to speak was just ridiculous
As for when we scored, my friends son was nearly crushed as these boys landed on top of him, another lady disabled fan was pushed out of her wheelchair causing each and every one of them to be moved into the Grimsby end.
My friend has said she won't be going to away games now as the same thing happened at Blackpool last season.
2 factors. The complete ignorance of some of our supporters, and these are all regulars as ive seen them at dozens of away games, coupled with the total lack of authority from the stewards and the disgrace that are our police force, ensured that this kind of outcome was possible.
The stewards and police just stood and watched every kind of regulation for the safety of spectators, broken and flouted right in front of them.

Henley has played in central midfield before I believe. Dont know much about Ismail but again I believe he can play either side. What it really needs is a couple of quality midfielders bringing in, as well as a left winger. Been saying it for weeks. I'd rather any of those in there than Anderson.

There is a mentality amongst a certain section of our supporters that going to away games is the rightful preserve of the young, requiring the desire and ability to stand up throughout the match. If you can't do so, due to age, disability etc, or choose not to, then you should stay away from away games altogether and stop getting in the way of the young ultras who can.
We've had people on here and on C&B suggesting that away games have become no fun because too many older non-standers are spoiling the fun of the youth.
I've nothing against those who choose to stand at the back and lead the singing. Good on 'em. But there seems to be a growing number of entitled younger fans who appear to believe that away games are a vehicle for them to do what the hell they like and sod everyone else

Stewards and police are in a no win situation. If they enforce the rules and regulations, eg people sitting on their allocated seats, no standing etc, then there would be loads of people moaning about the heavy handedness but if they don’t there is a risk of incidents like yesterday.

I was sat just to the left of all that. It was pretty rowdy and certainly towards the end I thought it had gotten out of hand. As has been mentioned the issues resulting in our disabled supporters having to be moved was particularly nasty to witness. I did see another older chap on crutches demand to be let out of the ground as he’d had enough & didn’t feel safe.

As for no trouble there were at least two incidents of our fans fighting amongst themselves that I saw. Usual knuckle dragging types & no idea what it was about!

The stewarding at that particular spot seemed rather poor. Certainly seemed to have lost control. Repeat warnings to the same individuals but not actually taking action when they were clearly ignoring the previous warnings. Certainly had a similar feel to Rochdale away last season in that sense, would have been interesting to see how more experienced stewards or those maybe a bit more used to bigger crowds etc would have dealt with it.

It had a similar feel to Rochdale because its the same groups of individuals involved. I don't think the away end helped, our seats were on the back row so you couldn't see properly because of the roof, we went and stood up further down. And to be fair, for most of the game yesterday the atmosphere was completely non existent. For such a large following it was pretty tepid stuff.

Yes agreed it was very frustrating, however as a FB when you’ve no one playing in front of you (winger) it significantly reduces your options

I was refering mainly to the police presence outside, but yes I and my grandson were in the next section to the right of the goals.
There was always going to be the potencial of verbals and violent gestures from both sets of fans when there was very little to divide the opposing fans apart from stewards and then police.
I was not aware the disabled area was there and that has to be down to poor orginisation by Grimsby, they know that far end of the home stand has several dozen Grimsby lads who are obviously there to goad away fans, yes we have our share, and as we know if they can they will congregate as near to the home fans as possible.
The ground looked pretty full to me yesterday and how they could get another 2000+ plus in to there capacity of 9,027 would be difficult but for me Grimsby need to get their house in order and put some netting up for maybe10 rows or so to prevent yesterdays events most clubs do.
Rarely do we have scenes like yesterday at Valley Parade and they should know from previous matches where there is a large away following disabled fans should not be allocated that area for that very reason.
Never saw any smoke bombs or flares coming from that area @Allotment Bantam@Allotment Bantam I don't need to quote again what I think of so called Bradford City fans letting them of for a laugh.
I was not aware the disabled and carers were moved from that area but it certainly made sense but the football on show was so rivitting I could not take my eyes off the game and ignored the goings in to my right but sorry to hear about yours and others experiences at yesterdays game .

This applies to the manager as well.

Needs to prove his worth at Bradford City.

Dont think the article was written by Jason but I get your point - GB has to show he is flexible to get the best out of the players he currently has, he has to play them in their most comfortable positions (good players might be able to adapt but not many of this bunch) and most importantly, we HAVE TO get more quality into the team in the next couple of weeks. I know the club are working hard to achieve this end and I believe GB is now aware of what is at his disposal (this could change if we can move a couple of players on but becoming less likely anyone wants who we are prepared to release)

I know a few on here already think GB is on borrowed time (due to results in his time with us) but he has worked so hard on rebuilding the 'image' of the club, I just hope he shows us all he is the right man for the job going forward - I think it is fair to say he has been more impressive off the pitch than on it so far

Cracking post @vin weasel@vin weasel, says it all I was unaware of the disabled area and the situation of them having to be moved until @Allottment bantam refered to it in a reply to me, shocking behavior and our whiter than white fans had plenty to say about the Leeds fans behaviour in that Cup game the other season.

It was hilarious when our supporters were screaming about their fans rushing to the front of their section, not even touching a soul, saying "there's disabled supporters you pricks". Absolute hypocritical gold. Divs!!!!!
