Rhodes decision to give him a 2 year deal was a weak and lazy one. Poor.

Just hoping Bowyer can get a grip of himself. We urgently need a decent assistant manager to support him because he's making some daft decisions and we look extremely poor.

My opinions on the first half.....

Regardless of where Doyle is playing I don't see what he offers, he can't pass or cross and his attempts at turning a man by running into them isn't a great watch.

I think Gibsons overall game is good until he gets to the final third, drastically needs to improve his decision making.

If we are to play this formation we need to move the ball much quicker.

Henley doesn't do us any favours at left back, we need a full back to push on and his natural instinct is to come inside with his right foot.

Defence has been solid and I think BRE is a real monster.

I'm hoping Scannell is put on much earlier and I think we will get a win.

 

I tried to warn Y'all, 4 weeks ago

 

The biggest issue for me is our distribution. So many wayward passes. We’re unable to build any sort of momentum or pressure because we just give the ball away every time we come forward. The issue with the system is that our CBs are reluctant to pass into midfield so we just play it wide to the fullbacks and then boot it. A few times we’ve had Palmers free in the centre circle and they’ve opted to pass wide when we really we want to get it into Palmer on the turn so he can move us forward.

 

I wouldn’t say we’re hanging on. O’Donnell has made one excellent save but for all Grimsby’s pressure they haven’t done much. They can at least pass the ball and they look balanced. 2 things that don’t apply to us and I can’t help think that it’s self inflicted. Doyle and Anderson off, Scannell and maybe Devine on, 442.

 

Can we venture any positives?

Centre backs doing well. Richards-Everton is up and running and AoC seems to have found his level.

One thing is clearly we urgently need to go back into the transfer market is Bowyer wants to play 4-3-3.

We don't have the players to suit it but people like @JonButterfield (Aka Mr Email) will say that I am looking too deep into it it but once again we look shi&e.

 

Tells me how bad the game is when I prefer to watch L666ds on sky rather than listen to our commentary.

Get used to 4-3-3. Bowyers preferred formation at Blackpool I believe. I havent a problem away from home, just that you need the right personnel to play it.

I think we need to do that irrespective of the formation GB wants to play! I would like to hear him explain his thinking behind the 433 and the players he is using in this formation, because its creating very little and is only frustrating everyone right now There must be a reason he is doing this but when you look at the options on the bench there is only really Scannell who can potentially change things

I think they failed finishing 7th myself but he got them up via play offs.

We don't have the balance like his beloved Blackpool to play 4-3-3. We don't have Spearing
