I would like another number 10 of better quality to battle it out with Cooke but don't see it happening.

Failing that we need Cooke further forward because Gillead looks nothing like a 10 so far.

 

I think we are 2-3 QUALITY players light.

It's not a bad position to be in because we have this window and Jan but we need to sign a decent player in the forward department before this window shuts in my mind.

 

Maybe they’re waiting to fill the 10 shirt with a quality player that can pull the strings in and around the box. That’s probably what we need to make the most of the possession when we’re on top.

 

Stockton would have been a decent striker to acquire. We wont get much better in all honesty but you sneered at the thought of him coming.

 

Matt Taylor's thoughts about today's game:
"When you miss an open goal in the final minutes, you have to think what could have been! I don't think we deserved to win or lose the game, but that's what it's like at the top level of League Two, because they are one of the best sides in League Two, without a shadow of doubt you can almost guarantee that they'll get promoted at the end of the season", he said.

There was never any rule against having Cook and Stockton you know - which is why Adams tried to sign him.

Angol missed a couple of chances. However his interplay with Cook was good after only a few weeks together. Angol has good feet and touch. How you can justify angol and Lavery are Shite at this point I have no idea. Lavery hasn’t kicked a ball.

 

Bear in mind Exeter have finished around 4th or 5th in three of the last five years. Taylor has been around and know a good side when he sees one. Interesting to hear his thoughts.

Makes a change from some the clowns who have seemingly watched a different game than anyone else when they get interviewed. Hard to argue with his take. Also, a bit of class to put the game 2nd to expressing his sentiments to a grieving family. All in all seems like a top fella

 

Assessment on the match in short is: toothless up front despite getting in some good positions, midfield pretty average overall but created the forward line with a few opportunities to win us the game, but noticeable how numerous times Exeter run through them with ease only for there forward line to fluff it, defence ok without being spectacular, overall a decent point but boy do we need to crank it up a notch if we want to progress upwards.

 

Why would Taylor say things just to please Bradfird City fans?
