He is asking some players to do more than their ability yet still picking them when they are failing, That is down to him nobody else, As for the dressing room nothing saps confidence more than seeing poor players perform poorly yet get picked in front of you week after week. Stop blaming players in the press and start dropping them that is the way to make players work harder
PS This post should get a gold award and be a sticky :)

If the removal of Turnbull and the October statement, is the start of a revolution, that begins change at our club, on a football level, then bring it on. We have been in the doldrums too long and something has to give.
You can not blame the players for signing contracts, but you can point fingers for lack of effort in some cases, and the less said about the finishing the better. Woefull is the only word i would use. Lavery and Robinson can not be blamed fot this, they have hardly kicked a ball in anger.
Recruitment and players fitness also needs addressing.
Also having 6 possable starters out of the team through injury ,would severly damage any team in this league, especially as 5 of them are attacking players.
Reflecting on the season so far , yes i am as annoyed as most fans seem to be with this current slump. We just have to hope that the injured players are back into the mix soon and give us the boost we need, and also a kick up the arse to certain players , who appear on the team sheet, no matter what they produce in games, just through a lack of competition.

After yesterday's performance, the players I'd say need dropping are ROD, Threlkeld, Kelleher, Watt, Songo'o, Evans and Gilliead.
As things stand, their replacements would be Hornby, FCD, Staunton, Foulds, Sutton, Scales and Crankshaw.
There's the flaw in your suggestion - right there.

Evans and Gilliead have been dreadfull and Threlkeld is no better than FCD. Kelleher appears to be a non league tug boat from what i have seen. Songo'o not played enough to judge, but does look of the pace. Watt is a decent player but needs to start playing the simple passes more often. Nothing between the keepers, both are decidely average.

We are far too nice as a fan base we need to grow a backbone.

Exactly. That's the point I'm making. Trevor reckons the problem is Adams is picking players that aren't good enough and should be replacing them with the ones that are on the bench. The issue is that the players on the bench are no better.

For all the talk that we need more quality up front - which we do, we’re a car crash at the back. Neither keeper is good enough, POC is a bang average league 2 defender who’s bullied too easily, Kelleher is every inch a non league centre half and Threlkeld is awful. Ridehalgh is just about ‘OK’, but far too many are not good enough individually and even worse as a collective. One clean sheet in 12 games is abysmal.

When you accept mediocracy for extended periods of time that’s exactly what you get.
This club is now one which is afraid to take any financial risk and if that’s the case then it’s time to cut overheads to allow the club to invest into the team rather than shiny new seats and dugouts.
Yes……maybe it’s time we got rid of VP (a premier league stadium of which we’ll never see again)

Yes they are, They just need games to settle and bond, Most played in the unbeaten run last season, They just need games and a manager that believes in them, Hornby, FCD, Staunton and Sutton are better than whats been picked with more energy and resolve the dreadful lack of pace

VP is a big selling point for us it would be stupid to get rid, yes it’s in a shithole but it is what it is. We have to try be more forward thinking and we definitely need to stop this mr nice guy attitude.

POC should have been shunted out with AOC, two weak centre halves. Canavan is just about ok but needs some pace along side him.

Perhaps Canavan and Staunton would be the answer.

Almost everybody on here couldn't wait to get shut of AOC. Maybe some now beginning to realise that he's a better defender than Threlkeld or Paudie and in a different class to Kelleher.

I'll have a pint of what your drinking, the dug outs and new seats cost the club nothing as I understand it both are part of sponsorship deals.
With regards getting rid of Valley Parade just what are you suggesting share with Park Avenue, or maybe move to Marley Stadium.

AOC leaving was the right move for club and player. He was on a decent wage and would have to accept a big cut. The club recruiting Kelleher as a replacement was the mistake.

I’m suggesting we rid ourselves of the rental noose that other league 2 clubs don’t have. Hence they can compete and even beat us financially.
Coventry didn’t let their landlords dictate, they left to groundshare with the likes of Northampton. Now they sit nicely in the Championship.

man of the match was adams post match press conference for me. hit the nail on the head with everything, Im more worried about him sacking it off and quitting than anything else atm. Players are seriously letting everyone down at the moment, but the failure to recruit another forward is now looking like the poor business it was at the time. Its clear adams didnt want lavery or robinson, so why we didnt just pool their wages together and go for someone he actually did want is beyond me.

Also we have to pay the school money and look after the training ground. A bloody school!

We're wasting a hell of a lot money monthly with the school and ground.

So your suggesting we leave Valley Parade and move where ?, as I posted share with the Stans, I'd think Huddersfield would be a none starter as they already have football and rugby played on their pitch
ground share at Elland Road Halifax is too small, Rochdale similar.
And to add I believe were tied to a contract with regards paying rent at Valley Parade for the next few years.
Conventry playing in the Championship has very little to do with their landlord and more to do with brining a managed into thd club and backing him having a little continuity on the football management side, something under our present owners we don't seem to be able to do.
