Away Priority Cards

If the so called ‘loyalty’ system doesn’t change for next season I won’t be buying a season ticket and will just pick and choose the more appealing home games to go to and make sure I have more points than season ticket holders should an in demand fixture comes up. I can attend 8 games for £160 and have more loyalty points than someone who has spent £198 on a season ticket or £300+ if they have a suit upgrade as well.

As season ticket income provides the budget for the most important transfer window I wonder how the club would fare if all season ticket holders followed suit. I believe at Sheffield United a season ticket automatically guarantees you more than someone who pays on the gate every game, as it should without season ticket holders clubs wouldn’t last very long.

Hopefully it’s just teething problems but one unhappy ‘customer’ here, I always thought fans showed loyalty by attending through thick and thin. Looks like it’s not the case.

 

In theory just because you don't have a season ticket this years doesn't mean you won't have one next year.

So you could go a long way of putting yourself top of the pile for when the loyalty scheme starts.

 

There appears to be another problem with this. I can with my login allocate a ticket for the Walsall game to my account, therefore if I wanted to bring my youngest to the game I could add another 20 "loyalty" points to my account for £5.

Infact I can allocate 10 tickets to my name and if I purchase them I presume I obtain all the loyalty points.

When I try to do this for an away game it says I can only have 1 ticket allocated to my name.

I think a mess is the best description of this current system.

 

really to be honest this is a bit of a non issue.

Pretty sure these points are permanent so doing that over 5 years is a small fortune!

A season ticket with a suite + 1903 membership comes to about £350. Add a shirt and a 3 or 4 away games and that £2,645 figure you have plucked out with the laughing emoji over 5 years is not an unrealistic outlay for an average fan.

 

I can spend that on a night out at the Lord Clyde. Do I get a loyalty card ?

according to the club season ticket holders will get points for matches attended so that issue should be solved when the IT catches up

seems like your ramblings are redundant either way Edin. regardless your analogy is flawed. that money gets all of those things (suite access for a year, 1903 merch, a shirt that can be worn whenever and entry to 4 away matches )rather than just gaining entry to watch 10 home matches. in terms of investment it is stupid do that just to gain loyalty points.

 

And are you arguing that a season ticket holder who never ventured outside of Bradford should get away ticket priority over those that travel everywhere ?

 

Go to more away games then and stop trying to cherry pick the glamour ties

 

Where did you get that idea from, I actually showed that someone who bought 23 tickets for home games would have more points that a season ticket who was a 1903 member with Away Priority and had been to 21 away games in the year based on the rules as they were written and the fact that attending home games as a season ticket holder has not increased the base 150 points given for being a season ticket holder as yet.

However it has later been established that attendance to these games has not been added and will be updated later acording to @stork

We wouldn't want a scenario where your arse falls out again as tickets are sold under your nose like they were with the Reading home game.

When you purchase a ticket you have to assign it to a member and that person will be credited with the points not the person buying them

 

That will never happen again as James Mason no longer works for the club.

 

Keep up, you can if you want assign 20 tickets to your name for the Walsall match and it will take you to the checkout.

I could buy 10 x £1 junior tickets for the Lincoln game under my name, I do not have to allocate them to different names it just takes you to the checkout. So for £10, thats 200 loyalty points.

 

Are you thick? I go to away games, the point I was making at the time is I can just go to 8 home games and not bother getting a season ticket and bothering with the likes of Forest Green on a cold Tuesday night and be better off financially and loyalty points wise.

I posted that before Storck said they the points were to be added on monthly so it’s redundant now.
