The figure you put above, seems to be at variance with the screen shots @Edin Nowhere@Edin Nowhere posted in respect of take up in the Kop. I hope the figure you reported is correct and l would assume it could well have surpassed 10,000 now.
I still think there will be some who have not yet renewed, who assume their usual seats will be available, up until the deadline of the Early Bird deal. In general it will piss some off, however some groups may find it difficult to get rows together.
I still think it is naive to increase prices by 100% at the end of April, and it could deter a significant number of waverers. Raise the bar dramatically, without tangible evidence of positive change is just going to put some off.

Well the club have put out the same figure and GA has said it is now over 11,000 so no reason to disbelieve it

Well to jump from 9,849 to over 11,000 in around 12 hours ( and l assume the comment made by GA was sometime ago) seems to employ quantum physics!

Personally l will be happy to see as many fellow Supporters at VP as possible. However given the vehemence of some on here, that they won’t renew, the ‘protesters’, the 25% price rise, cost of living issues, and others ceasing to come due to health, work, relocation and very sadly some passing away, then l find the figures very surprising .

I also find the figures surprising Rod. I've just had a look at the stadium map and there's still an awful lot of blue, blocks and blocks of the stuff actually in areas you would expect to see very limited availability at the point 11000 seats have apparently been sold.

As someone has already touched upon, the sub-10k figure was yesterday morning. Early bird tickets were back on sale yesterday afternoon, following a window for lower Kop holders to move - this is why we saw good sales yesterday afternoon, that coinciding with a feel good factor relating to yesterday mornings update.

I wouldn’t focus too much on blue dots mate. You’re looking at 20,300 seats if no ticket has been sold. From the naked eye, it may not look like 55% of them are sold, but I can assure you, they are!

The ticket maps and a jump to 11k sold don't appear to tie in exactly at this moment.

The ground holds 25k. With the away sections of the ground (2,500), segregation (400), Main stand A block (600), the front 3 rows of the Kop (500) and the closure of rows H backwards on the NW corner (1,500) we can suggest we have 20k seats open for sale for home supporters. These are aprox figures with a margin of error of a few hundred. At the maximum 21k tickets are open for sale for home supporters.

The main stand lower tier looks pretty full in the middle as it usually does but B & E block look at most 60%. The upper tier there are barely a few hundred seats sold outside of the suite areas with one of those blocks clearly being kept back for promotions, etc.
The A, B & E block in Midland road look like there is far more not sitting there than are sitting there and the front half of the lower Kop and the back half of the upper Kop look like there are far more empty seats than full ones.

Whatever way you look at it, like for like renewals prior to seat release are significantly down, and they said 48% are buying by direct debit, so the money isn't secure as of yet.

Trust me l am not getting into Blue Dot counting! It just seemed to me and quite a few others that there were swathes of unsold ticket.

You referenced that sales in the last 48 hours of the offer, often see a surge in purchases. That makes sense to me. So if say 1,000 buy in the next 12 days and there is the usual level of last minute purchases of around 1,500-2,000 in the last 48 hours, then the 11,165 which were apparently sold when you posted (55% of 20,300), then that would be final early sales somewhere in the band of 13,665-14,165. Add onto that a small number of purchases beyond the deadline then the final figure could be 14,500.

Again trust me, if l clearly say that l personally will be very happy if we sell over 12,000 tickets, sell 14,000 tickets, or even surpass that number.

Yeh i didn't mean a total default. I meant a stop for a short period as a protest.

Don't want the club skint completely! :D

You can't reset a direct debit up yourself. The instructions come from the claimer.
