Crazy isn't it? Nobody has seen him play, barring Tuesay night when no one had heard of him, and yet he's been talked of ahead of Guthrie who has seasons of league experience. I know he's not pulling up any trees but i'd still expect him to start ahead of a complete unknown.

 

Absolutely. And I'm trying to reason in my head how a kid with bags of pace (supposed) works with Novak whom has little pace. As an unknown front two, how will they compliment one another?

 

Here's my thought....

When we drew Wolves U21s we did some scouting of them and saw he had something about him, he may have performed well against Oldham, we made an approach, he played against us and we did well so we pushed for an answer and he joined.

Anyway, whatever the circumstances, good luck to the lad.

No mate Guthrie is gash. SM knows that. As for is he ready-let's see him in action and then judge.

 

Im sure the wage cap and lack of crowds threw a few plans up in the air. Interestingly I doubt many people were talking about rubbish planning at the start of last season

 

Underwhelming? Who did expect us to sign? He's a young pacey striker who probably wants to progress in the game. You really do need to give yourself a good shake.

Spot on Mr F. Remember how L1 and 2 were frightened to death of Nahki. Panicky clearances and mis hit pass backs. Even when he didn't have the ball, Nahki created space for everyone. You could say the same about Isiah but when defenders found out that pace was all he had, they weren't that panicky.

 

Have you seen guthrie play

 

Samuels to start on the bench and then come on when defenders are tired that's what I think will happen tomorrow

Agree, he must be match fit as he played 90 minutes against us the other night and has a full pre season training under his belt, not like we have signed an out of contract player.

Start him and let his pace unsettle the Harrogate defenders

Well that plan failed. He looks very raw and we didn't see any pace from him.

 

Didn't really have much of the ball, but of course should have took his chance.
Also the late offside flag incident. I also thought he looked a bit slow, but maybe he was in half minds about being offside. Also his eyes are too wide apart.

Anyway, I suppose we need to give him more time than twenty minutes before we judge him. Must be better than Guffrie.
