Atmosphere stand

"Would you welcome the atmosphere section being moved from the Upper Tier of the North West Corner to the Lower Tier of The Kop?

No if its moved it needs to be the upper tier of the kop as it had been for years before moving them to the North West Corner.

 

Have a look at Palace. There's is in the lower tier, too the left of the goals and theirs seemed to work well for a while.

 

It does but if they are going to have move fans who have been in the lower Kop many years is a bad idea, I'd think the top of the kop where it has always been before the NWS was good the sound cascading down and out, but as with everything just an opinion.
I'm no sure you're Palace example would work as well in League Two with average gates of 6/7,000 back in the day.

 

The noise brigade worked brilliantly against Wycombe mate, block B lower tier, just to the side of mine , and less than 7000 in the stadium. It even got the lower main stand fans clapping harder.

 

Those cup games have been the standout for atmosphere in the last few years. With a lower crowd it's usually the die yards that are there and no disrespect to others they have more passion than the casual fan. I'm in the lower kop and to be fair on normal match day different blocks react differently. Block D is the noisiest, usually most in that block are stood up through the game. I think A block would be a great place for people who want to create their own take on an atmosphere, the effect as you allude to gets others involved

 

Yes , i said block A in the survey, links all three stands to that side of the stadium. more visable to the midland road gang and less people to move as only a smaller block, if they want to move that is.

Lots of guys in black shirts pretending to be some kind of ultra, led by some guy with a megaphone facing the wrong way. It’s all so continental and false. good football will generate the atmosphere and that’s the way it should be.

The fact this topic is even been discussed is certainly a sign of the times.
I agree if the product on show is pleasing on the eye of course that's going to raise the volume inside the stadium.
Most away grounds we visit don't have an upper section so the noise generated is usually from pitch side and allows fans, players and officials to interact more. Sometimes for the good and sometimes for the bad both have their own value either spurring the team on or simply venting ones feelings towards an individual.
Although over the years noise from up in the gods did create an atmosphere and still does to a degree. Noise from the sidelines in my opinion is more productive than that from above.
Anyway regardless of the outcome everyone has a view and a voice, it's what you do with it on a matchday that counts where ever you have your seat in the ground.

I was think more of moving the fans who have had tickets in the lower kop having to move where as relocating to the top of the kop shouldn't have the same upheaval.

 

Maybe we should emulate Brentford?
Everyone have a curry the night before the game and when the players come out. turn around and fart in the direction of the pitch. That should be an unforgettable experience for the lads and further secure the bond between players and fans.

Never had much time for clubs like Palace but that’s a new low imo.

If this is the case then improve the seating in the kop just like they've done in the West Stand.
There's no room to sit so I'm gonna stand the whole game

 

I'd imagine if they are telling people that the drum etc are moving from the NW Corner to Kop Block B then if you are in there you should probably expect to be standing for the match and they'll unofficially allow it as long as the authorities don't get involved.
