I’m not attending this weekend. I’ve simply had enough, signing a goalkeeper when we don’t really need one is my final straw. The owner and everyone behind the scenes needs to go. Total morons!!

8 points isn’t that big of deal for a team in form who look like winning games and that are creating chance after chance .......... but we don’t look like that at all yes we beat Barrow with a touch of fortune we beat Salford who let’s be right would have seen us off with 11 men in the pitch but Carlisle and that on Saturday looked nothing like a team that was hunting down 7th place ............... looked like a team that was happy to gain a point to help us get to the 50 point mark ..................

It only lasted a minute! With all due respect to new signing Alex Bass, did I hear correctly when Adams stated he was "well renowned in the English game?". "Well renowned" for what and by who exactly? The lad has played just 27 league games in six years!! I can't bear listening to the bloke so stopped the recording there and then. I dread to think what crap he came out with.

 

No he won’t, but he’ll put in it’ll a minimal amount just to standstill. If you think the quality is bad now just wait until the money starts to dry up. At the moment we’ve hope, no matter how slim, start boycotting games and it’ll be a sure fire way to the National League. What we need is for Rupp to put in proper investment, not just offer an overdraft facility covering the basic running costs.

The frustration for me is we haven’t dominated many, if any games so far. The good start has become a distant memory. If we saw consistently good performances we could have hope, but the disjointed performances are just soul destroying. But as @borderlescott has said, we’ve a week to go in the window, let’s see who comes in before we get the pitchforks out.

Well when you start to organise what ever you have planned then people will start to join you .sitting at home ranting how shite everything is is easy so now is your chance to step forward put your plan into action

 

To be fair whether you like mister model T fordys comments he has called it correct for a few seasons . What ever has been done since the playoffs v millwall has not been done. I think a complete change is needed. Easier said than done I agree but this team is useless. We were built up to a stonking year by hiding internet boy sparky.

 

Every manager we bring in at this level is to take us up, they constantly fail only Parkinson since 1982 has been successful in doing so. League 2 is a great leveller it doesn’t matter if you play in a PL standard stadium or a garden shed, those that have their shit together off the field are the ones who are most successful. We don’t and you can’t blame any individual manager for that as it’s years of decline.

I’d be happy for Adams to go if we got a new owner with vision who takes time and passion in getting some football men off the field, most of our staff seem to be from Fetherstone rugby club, but I don’t have any faith the next manager would do better in fact under Rupp I fear non league so we’re above that for the time being.

The club are just going round in circles a bit like those on this forum, nothing will change Rupp had is chance to sell up in December but decided to play the knight in shining armour and look how fans on here and social media lapped it up. So don’t expect anything to change with or without Adams, only difference would be people like yourself and others making threads about Mr X out instead by October.

 

I agree with you that every manager we bring in, is to take us up. Otherwise what would be the point? But this season is the first in a long time, where our CEO has gone on record saying that this is our sole aim this season, and its "promotion or nothing" or something like that. Perhaps he's showing his inexperience by saying such things, and perhaps we ARE mugs for believing, but at the end of the day, if we don't go up, then a lot of questions need to be asked. Questions can be asked already about the lack of recruitment and funds to back up the bold statement, but the main question at the end of the season, when we haven't achieved what we set out to do, is what is going to change, who is going to step down, and what do we do next season to make sure this doesn't happen again.

 

Ok Fordy. There is just over a week to the end of the transfer window and that is it until the summer.
We sack Adams tomorrow, who do we bring in and who ever it is will have to work with basically the same squad of players.
It would be a pointless and expensive move, we might as well stick for now, we have to stop this manager merry go round at some point and give somebody a chance to build for longer than half a season.
Personally i think mr Adams is a dour boring football manager, but he has had sucess at this level, so must be given more time. If there are no signs of forward movement come the end of the season, then i might have a re-think about his position.

 

So if you're not laughing why aren't you starting that movement you feel should happen? It's ok being a complainer - but what will YOU do to be a part of the solution? I'm sorry Fordy, but you're a dancer.

 

I’ve done similar before but if it’s a choice between losing my seat or funding Rupp then I’ll sit somewhere else when I finally come back, which I will and can’t wait for the day that I get my enthusiasm back.

As for protests 5 thousand or so not turning up for home games will have more affect than a few banners

 

I agree with you there is more to a match day than just the 90 minutes of football, but it’s hard not to care about that and switch off from it no matter how hard o have tried. For me it could be the only way to force Rupp out and create a feel good factor again so I’d sacrifice them days out short term to see that happen.

 

Well we did completely re-set our scouting in advance of the window so we could be ready from the off
