ideal signing. Looking over his time at Donny, he played as a right wing back the entire time there in a 353/532 (whichever one you class wing backs as) system. Moved up to RM whenever they changed to 4 at the back to chase a game.

Need a few utility types in seasons like this, I mean look at Sept-Oct fixtures released today and then add on top cup games in the EFL trophy, going to be a lot of rotation needed.

 

Looking at the Squad now it looks like we have 20 senior players which means we can only sign two more. Is that right?

 

Are you including the youth players promoted to the squad?

Only 17 senior players registered at the minute, 5 spaces left. They only count a "senior player" as someone over 21 after July 1st 2020, or any loanee regardless of age. So Elliot Watt doesn't count as a senior as he's only 20.

O'Donnell, Longridge, Paudie, BRE, A O'Connor, Pritchard, Novak, Donaldson, Ismail, Hornby, French, Wood, Guthrie, Clarke, Cooke, DMH & Sutton are the ones that fall into the registration rules currently.

 

Shouldn’t be only 21’s or over count.

Yes. What part of us is being badly run?

 

It really isn't. Just people furiously digging themselves into trenches that they will never ever leave.

 

An obvious one is the football/entertainment/recruitment - failed again last season and the season before, more manager and squad upheaval.

 

Don't think he will end up at City,Vale fans talking like it's a done deal along side their kit launch at 5 pm.
We on the other hand are silent not even a Sparky tease.

 

He said we are a badly run club “now”. You’re talking about previous seasons.
So how are we badly run now?

 

Crikey, where do you start. Deffo not well run, stuck in the dark ages and saddled with an expensive ground. Existing / treading water more than being classed as punching above its weight.

 

What part isn’t? Player recruitment? Consistently poor, which is why we never achieve anything. Our scouting approach is limited to the managers little black book - whoever is in charge. The pitch becomes an embarrassment every year, without fail. Financially, our owner let his partner run amok like a kid in a sweetshop, setting us back a few years - at least. We’re only financially viable because of sell on clauses - all of which only ever go to ‘plugging deficits’ rather than growing the club. We’ve created no real assets of any value over the last 10 years, the ‘interim’ CEO is on record as saying he doesn’t really want to be there. There’s no demonstrable strategy in place and we’re being outperformed by clubs with a fraction of our fan base and resource. We were relegated from League 1 with one of the largest wage bills in the league, finished 9th last season with the 3rd highest budget, 5 managers in 2 years.

Well run? Don’t make me laugh. We’re a shambles.

5 spaces for senior players in the squad still. So can’t use the excuse of squad space to stop us getting bodies in. We are no doubt now offering peanuts
