Right back, centre half and centre forward still urgently needed.

if anybody tells me that we’re ok for centre half’s I will point out that Calamity Jane Richards Everton isn’t good enough and unless Paudie has learnt not to get pushed off the ball so easily he’ll also be weak.

I have more faith in Paudie as I think Stuart will drill into him to hoof it into row Z rather than try to play like Baresi.

Richards Everton is always prone to clumsiness.

 

Coventry fans seem to think Maxime Biamou is on his way out somewhere. He hasn't been playing in their pre-season friendlies. Doesn't mean we are interested of course, but interesting that he was linked and then didn't play in their friendly on Tuesday.

 

What system do we think Stuart will play because everyone keeps talking about a new centre back and a tough tackling midfielder but we have nothing on the wings.

 

He's dropped enough hints that because we're overloaded at CB and ST in numbers rather than quality, we'll most likely play a 352 or some variation on it. Its probably why he thinks Ismail and DMH is enough, because they're most likely plan B.

 

A winning system I hope then some posters can stop bitching .

 

Hope it's to here, I've seen a lot of their fans saying he's not good enough for the championship but a great player in league 1. The thought of Kwesi Appiah rocking up here is scary.
In fact if I was greedy I'd take him and Hiwula as they would know each others strengths.

 

City will be playing 3-5-2 this season. Right back needed but DMH and Ismael operating as wing backs at moment.

Also, BRE is on borrowed time, Reece Staunton has impressed in training and the 2 friendlies.

We need one or two of the youngsters to break through imo.

 

If we are playing wing backs, Connor Wood will be very suited for the left sided role.

 

We need a decent centre back but I can understand us not being to sign one when we already have so many on the books.

However, I still think that there are zero excuses for not signing a RB, DM, winger and striker.

The squad is seriously short of quality at the moment.

 

At this rate the new right back will arrive a few days before the first match, give away a goal as he doesn't know his team mates then get subbed off injured because he wasn't fit.

 

I hear you but to challenge him back I'd be asking him if we're playing 5 in midfield do we have enough central midfielders especially with one potential player being suspended for the first few games I believe.

 

Someone who we were linked with earlier in the summer, Mitch Clark, has just posted an hourglass emoji on his twitter. I think i'm grasping at straws here but it seems to have Port Vale fans thinking he is re-signing for them. Can you imagine the uproar if Vale beat us to two signings (Maynard and Clark)?

 

His replies to a few vale fans suggests he won't be going there.

To not have any chance of troubling the playoffs there has to be at least 7 teams way better than us - usually more with the 'no way' qualifier.

Reckon stuart is gonna go with 3 centre backs and 2 wingbacks. So both - o'connors + bre - Wood and Sutton on the left and right respectively.

That's not to say we don't need a right back of course

 

Mitchell Clark is a right back and has had two good spells at Port Vale. Looks like a loan from Leicester is possible.
