You don't make money from football.

No ROI.

 

Rupp came into this as an investment. He has been left owning a football club that he does n’t want. If he could get out of this with a minimum loss I’m sure he would take the opportunity. He must rue the day he said yes to Rahic’s proposal.

 

I would imagine Julian Rhodes is best placed to answer any questions. Afterall, he will be operating under specific and defined instructions from Herr Rupp. In addition, IF our concerns are found to realistic, then I wouldn't expect Julian to remain as CEO for much longer, because he is a City fan, and will be hurting and feel cheated like the rest of us.

 

JR was brought back in to get the club back to do what it was doing before, running at break even. He doesn’t want to throw anymore money at something he has no interest in which he knows he has no chance of getting back. The club will now be run on the same lines as I’d did in previous years.

 

Problem is football as a business has changed since then and businesses are not attracted to the cheap season ticket scheme to sponsor or invest.

Rhodes wasn't brought on for that at all plus he could leave in 6 months.

 

Fylde FC can't be that well off. They reportedly had to borrow cash to prevent them from going bust after being scammed out of nearly £250,000.

Looks like it will be Salford getting promoted so more excuses by the club and @Park bantam coming soon.

You're right I am disappointed and I am sure Rupp & Lawn are too even though they got money from the sale.

Any Bradford City fan barring you will be disappointed on how the club has been ran and is being run currently.

So please stop trying to be a WUM as most of us care about the club and if our manager is already sounding concerned it doesn't fill me will confidence going forward, does it you?

 

Whereas our ground apparently cannot get sponsorship for the ground, the Kop and possibly the MR. Paints a sobering picture don't you think....

 

Thought you'd posted this "Most football clubs are lost makers and most require the owner to pump loads in to make it successful".

Only time will tell if he wants Bradford City enough, what is more worrying is @Park bantam comment "Raising fans expectations with statements about having competitive budgets with a complete change of tone after the season ticket deadline is wrong", this is a big season for all concerned with Bradford City, the fans have done there bit (always nice to have a few thousands more but most understand why many have not renewed) our coming season is very much in Rupp and Bowyers hands but Bowyer need the tools to do the job yet his assistant has not been given a contract which doesn't look good.

Slightly misleading, the "loan" came from another group company.

 

Yeah it does involve pumping load of money in but doesn't mean an owner has to put in their total worth.

Football is a loss marker most like the Salford owners own a club for their own gain and to add to their business ownerships.
