That's exactly what I found. Since Huddersfield two short spells at Leeds and Sheffield FC, with spells at Man City and Forest for which I can't find either.

Good point raised on his knowledge of the squad over the last couple of seasons, to which he will have knowledge. I guess furthering that statement, is that he will know the background team, the manager and players. A short term positive.

I feel that many City fans have applauded the appointment without consideration of his recent history. Its convenient, its an easy sell by the club as we have a synergy with the man.

I have seen more fans comment on his radio skills than his actual job role. Is that not the wrong way around?

His greatest accolade (and well done to AK and the teams at Town) were 11 years ago. What since?Where's the dots on the I's and the crosses on the T's???

Do fitness coaches keep up to date with new training methods, new badges, new learning skills?

I am happy to proven wrong but it's timing, just 3 weeks before the transfer window opens, sets my alarm bells ringing. Make do with what you have got and implement AK in maybe getting a little extra out of the current squad.

Look I want AK to succeed. Good luck to the bloke. That's a given on my part.

But this appointment dose not sit right in my thinking. Maybe I'm looking it the wrong way.

AK may well be a fantastic appointment, only time will tell. But the club know full well no one is going to criticise it. Can't see how he can make much difference with what atr essentially bog standard league 2 players with a skilset to match.

 

Quite happy about Andy getting the job. He's always been passionate about City, and if he can get that to rub off on some of these players in our squad that need a kick up the rear, then surely it's a positive appointment?

 

That's what regression breeds. Apathy.

 

I'm passionate. It's that one of the particulars on the job description, I'm in with a shout.

 

But you're a miserable sod so not the kind of staff the players need hanging around them.

The only way we get better is by offering a big salary.

The people in these roles are all much of a muchness anyway, they pretty much all do the same thing that you'd learn in any sports science degree.

Top 5 forum moment that for me. Top being the newspaper post to date stamp authenticity, during the whole takeover/stalking affair. The other top 3....I'd have to have a think about.

 

Once he gets the players to emulate the Bradford ROAR we will be just fine.

 

Billy and Bower did good jobs recently. Matt Kilgallon was good a couple of seasons ago of he's still local. Gary Jones did it a couple of times. He was good.

Hopefully someone who tells it as it is.
