It's something and nothing, but I always did think he made some good points about preparation on commentary, certainly better than any of his in match analysis!
edit - as @Hulmebantam as previously pointed out!

Little things like opposition teams doing that little shuttle run thing on the touch line immediately before the start of the second half while city players just stood in position waiting for the 2nd half to start.
No way of knowing if it makes a difference but with our recent piss poor second half performances it might make us a bit more ready to get at the opposition straight from the off.Hulmebantam and Dratsab taf like this. -

Let's hope his communication skills improve or I struggle to see how the players can benefit from this - as enthusiastic and passionate as he is he can barely string a proper sentence together on commentary.
Communication is a key element in any managerial or coaching role, the student needs to fully understand their instruction and what they are being taught/shown.hippo likes this. -

The Huddersfield-born former Bantams winger has rejoined the club as its new performance coach, taking up a similar tole to the one he has done for the likes of the Terriers, Manchester City, Leeds United and Nottingham Forest.
Kiwomya developed his knowledge on the fitness side of the game, and was part of Huddersfield's record-breaking 43-game unbeaten run under Lee Clark in 2011-12
“Andy has excellent experience, not only as a performance coach but also as a player, and this knowledge will hopefully add lots to our armoury for the remainder of the season and beyond," said manager Derek Adams.

Fordy I think he will instil in them that they can do ....if they work and show commitment. We need some new energy from some were they are so flat... could he still play. joke...... could he?

https://www.bradfordcityafc.com/news/2021/june/new-role-for-royston-in-enhanced-performance-department/
Yes, it was a case of one in, one out and then little more than a rearrangement of the deck chairs on the Titanic at the time.
There was a bit of a fanfare in June and then ..... nothing. And our performances since then have reflected that.
It's interesting to compare what was said about the expected improvements in on-field performances in the article with how things have worked out. It's hardly a glowing testament.bantamdave41 likes this. -

I’ve seen the list of clubs he has worked for but what did he do at the them all and when?

Good luck Andy and welcome to the club, We certainly need some help in the back room as something is wrong, We now have 11 backroom staff for 22 players which probably get in each others way and confuse the players, I hope some leave and streamline the backroom support and they give Andy a big role as he has both experience and passion

What I was able to find is he was Academy Manager at Sheffield FC (And that's Sheffield FC not United or Wed) in 2015 but lasted 11 months. Was Development Coach at Leeds in 2019 but again lasted just 11 months. I can't find anything on his time at Man City or Forest.
It does seems weird that if he was as good as his time at Huddersfield suggests that he has struggled to keep jobs long term since and hasn't worked more, you would think he would be more in demand and not having to do radio commentary. I guess the positive is though he has watched most if not all the matches not just this season but for a couple of seasons so while an outsider might need a few weeks or even months to really understand the situation and implement meaningful changes he should be able to implement things immediately. So while maybe not the best long term appointment might be a good short term one while someone better is identified and brought in from outsideStop hovering to collapse... Click to collapse...
