Which challenge was that with regards why Cook should be thanking McDonald,

 

I'm guessing the one that assisted his goal

 

Cook looks to have lost some weight.

 

Fantastic record Cook has and despite occasional criticism for his lack of involvement in matches the fella is a gem.

Was so impressed with his drive and attitude after he missed the penalty, you could see him shaking his head and berating himself but that goal had everything - fantastic skill, determination and awareness after the initial save. Well done Cookie

 

Agree, he pulled it around for sure. Good job I ain’t Manager, I’d have pulled him at 45 What do us armchair fans know..? I thought the introduction of Young took a lot of pressure off him. His pace had their back three at sixes and sevens.

 

I've been impressed with Youngs attitude. I know he's a professional footballer and gets paid to do his job, but how many times have we seen recalls, transfer speculation and shenanigans affect a players disposition. By contrast Jake seems well up for it, keen to be part of the team and to prove his worth.

Totally agree. I wanted him back and I wanted him to play for us, and not be sold at the first opportunity. He is doing himself proud and the team. I think he is on the brink of scoring and once he does he will be off and running.

 

Behave, Cook still had plenty of work to do after the pass, back to goal two sorry three defenders up his arse and we thank McDonald, yes he put in a good challenge to win the ball toe poking it to Cook but hardly a through ball to run on to, all the praise has to be aimed at Andy Cook.

 

Broncs mis communication mate.. Cooks finish was all about guile and strength and perseverance I was making the comment that McDonald made the chance happen and was still battling at the end.... great challenge

 

Hence why I'd start Young along side Cookie on Tuesday night.

 

Like you, i thought the injury was designed to help broker a move for Jake.
I was wrong and admitted it.
Good look to the lad, has shown real maturity in the way he has dealt with it all, just needs to find a few goals now.

 

And yet we had plenty on here questioning his commitment and the lads attitude. But then fans seem to do that regularly without knowing the lad behind the shirt, making assumptions based on heresay.

 

I've posted earlier I thought when we were forced to bring Richards went off injured Alexander shuffled the pack dropping Gilly back and bringing McDonald into midfield helped change the way we played and ultimately the game, yes McDonald won the challenge and toe poke it through, but sorry all the graft had to be done from the moment Cook took the ball controlling it and turning the defenders producing a good save from the Wrexham keeper and then to be quick enough off the mark to again be the first to the ball.
