Tozer, isn’t a centre half. He was a poor fullback at Wembley and he’s a poor player today. He’s only on the grass for one thing….., I don’t need to tell you what it is .

 

That I agree with.

 

If you are going down the middle, you do NOT hit the ball below a metre from the grass . It has to be higher to stop it hitting flailing legs. It was a shocking penalty as a result. No matter who did that Cookie or Haarland, I’d say exactly the same.

 

And if he misses or it's saved, everyone will be saying should have stuck with Cook. Newsflash:being awarded a penalty does not guarantee a goal.

Tozer makes Stubbs and Taylor look mobile. On a decent whack as well for an average league 2 centre back.

Yeah I had no confidence in him putting that away. Thankfully he redeemed himself with about the only thing he did well all game.

 

Why does the ref allow him so much time to take the throw? It isn't a free kick and I thought refs were supposed to speed up the game.

 

The xG of a converted penalty is ca. 0.70, which means 70% are successfully converted.

That figure is based on a significant amount of data and shows the conversion rate isn’t actually as high as you’d think.

Anyone know what Cook’s conversion rate is from the spot for us?

 

Cooks stats are up there with the best we've had. Our biggest problem is finding a partner to compliment him. I'm not sure what type of player that is. I'm not sure an out and out striker is the way to go because they'll probably get in each others way. Cook isn't blessed with pace so could he react quick enough to the flick ons from a decent target man? We have no one capable at the moment of making and taking their own chances. Unless Young turns out to be that man.
