Diet? Did you see the six pack under his shirt? I agree he lacks effort but I doubt he is overweight.

 

If he has a good pre season and loses a bit of weight
he may come good.Give him a chance.

 

He has showed tenacity to come back from two potentially career threatening injuries

 

It's fitness not a diet he needs.

I think there is definitely a decent player in there, especially for 4th tier.
I trust Bowyer to get the best out of him next season. He did show glimpses in the last few games.

 

I agree with your comment about Akpan and the need for us to sign someone to partner Anderson. However, Butterfield was very poor, despite dropping down a level.

Anderson is not a playmaker. That said, he does need to show more of what is expected from him. None of our midfielders last season knew how to tackle or bust a gut to track back. That has got to be fixed this season.

We need someone like Jay Spearing, David Vaughan or even Glen Whelan. Tough, niggly players that get under the skin of other teams. Actually, someone like Tony McMahon, but played in front of the back four and not on the right of midfield

 

That makes no sense. When using “never mind” in this context, the comparison is supposed to get harder, not easier. Had you said he isn’t good enough for League 2 never mind League 1 it would have made more sense (although still irrelevant)

Anderson and no Devine signing 1 year contracts. Waste of time and space the pair of them.

You hit the nail on the head mate, we need to trust Bowyer. Give him chance to turn things around. Any new manager is a gamble but to me Gary Bowyer is as good a choice as anybody else out there.
Even though a lot of fans (including me) were disappointed with Anderson when he came to us, at only 23 with the games he has played, there is obviously a decent player there.
Quite a lot of fans are of the "glass half empty" persuasion (I am when it comes to beer)! They are harder to win over. The signings so far and the players rumoured to be in the pipeline give me confidence in Gary Bowyer and hope for the future.

 

Fordy have a bit of faith in Bowyer mate. Both Divine and Anderson have got ability in them, Gary Bowyer obviously feels he can bring it out of them both.
If he doesn't do that THEN we have a go and say I told you so.
Remember where we are, back in the bottom tier.

 

So with that logic, he should fair better next season then!

No one at this stage can change my mind on Devine. He's pants and is wasting his time here. He's a squad filler.

Anderson it seems Bowyer rates. The only positive I can take from this is the 1 year contract. I think Bowyer has said to him we will be pushing for pomotion this year. If we go up then maybe you will play div 1 with us next season and if we don't go up you can leave. It's a win- win for Anderson but boy is he shi@e.

 

I agree with your last para and we had one and he unfortunately moved to Notts County which was a shame.
