Yes I do but we can't say the squad wasn't good enough then at the 1st opportunity offer squad players contracts plus when they did play they were not great.

We'd a chance to get some players off the books and get fresh players in.

How many years does Danny Devine need to here to not fully break through and for people to realise he isn't good enough?

Danny Devine is wasting his career at Bradford City. He needs 1st team football but hey he will be on the bench again next season. Another year wasted.

 

If Devine is on the bench next year and there on merit in front of the likes of Wright, I’ll be happy. Agree it’s last chance saloon but every team has players that are ‘meh’ and are not good enough to start every week. Look at Man City and Delph.

Put it this way, I’d rather Devine on the bench than Wright and Colville than McCartan. If that means we offload them two and give the youngsters a chance of breaking through, I’m all for it

 

It would be interesting to gauge a ball park figure over how many contributors to this forum actually ejaculated over the mere mention of Colville. Whether that be, prematurely, involuntary or literally sat down and knocked one out ?

Personally, I find nothing erogenous about him at all.

 

He's not really my type so he does nothing for me but each to their own. I can confirm that no involuntary body fluid was lost here.

 

I'll come back to this when Colville is proven to be crap. then we'll see who was right.

 

This thread is just yukkie. The facts are we will not be signing any players that go anywhere near sexual arousal!! We are in lg2 and the best we can hope for is that they are hard working and can fit in to an all out team effort. We just welcome them to our club and let’s hope we unearth some gems.

Replacing the likes of Marshall and Meredith with Chicksen and Gilliead halted several years of progress.

Wright, O'Connor, Doyle and 99.9%(barring Luke) had a poor season. Individuals can have a poor season but the problem was our squad had a poor season. It was a poor season for many reasons!

Devine has had more than one poor season here and hasn't broken into the team. If you're counting on him then @Ricc could be right we could go down to the conference!

Also please get it into your head that it's up to the players if they stay or leave and we won't ship out 16 contracted players.

How has Devine had more than one poor season if he hasn't been able to break into the team and play matches? That makes no sense. You can't have a poor season if you don't play.

Nobody is pinning their hopes on promotion with Devine being a major player. The majority are saying it's last chance saloon for him, which it is. And the majority can see what he could potentially bring to the team if he is given a run of games. Could he more effective than Wright or Akpan - absolutely.

 

If you can't see the reason why Devine and Coalville have been offered contracts is down to lazy recruitment then I can't help you.

Devine can't break into any 1st squad because he isn't good enough and lacks ambition. He should of walked but he know he would be non league if he did.

What does cost effective mean to you? You don't run the pennies at Bradford City and Mr Rupp is keeping any incoming profit.

Only thing you need to concern yourself is wanting the club to sign quality and build a better squad. Offering contracts to players that are shi&e is utter pointless- can't you get your head round that?

Colville is rubbish. Devine is fine as a cheap as chips squad player, and Anderson might be okay, but I'd like more quality if at all possible.
