They did right, a few high fives, get the ball out the net and get on with the game. They'd just scored an equaliser against a side two leagues below them, nothing to celebrate.

Agree, I've just played it through again, yes there was no hugging or back slapping it looked to me they wanted to get back into position and get the game restarted as we were in the ascendance not Aldershot.

Its the same when O'Donnell makes a good save. No recognition of the save from any player near him. Watch back the videos if you want.

I watched the highlights. Thank you @simons (woking bantam)@simons (woking bantam) for your good analysis of someone who was actually there.

Firstly how that game went ahead is anybody’s guess. They were splashing around as if it was a swimming bath not a football field, the ref should be reported for allowing a game to be played in suc dangerous conditions. I remember a cup match a couple of years ago at VP against Barnsley evening match, rain storm about half an hour before kick off, the pitch wasn’t as bad as that one today, it was called off, due to the ball not rolling in part of the pitch. We could have lost a few more players to injuries today!

I thought we managed to cope ok with the conditions, but not at the start of the match. We played well compared to other matches we have played recently creative, firing at their goal. Good to see. Strikers were not functioning again, they are still suffering from lack of confidence having to take extra touches.

Should we have beat them? Yes of course, but our team is unbalanced and weak. If we had the team from last season, we would have. It doesn’t matter if you are a team in the PL, if you are struggling in the league to the extent we are playing the schoolboys under 15 will be a challenge. It is in their heads, not in their legs and bodies. I have said and I stand by it, we need a Sports Psychologist. We also need team building, if we had a break for a few days they could spend sometime together as a team in a relaxing atmosphere. The pre season was non existent so what time have they had to bond as a team, none!! They have been thrown together, first one coach then another. It might sound airy fairy, but it does actually work, in other words we invest in our squad, when they are not required to do the day job.

It is dissapointing we didn’t win, it has been an anxious week and I for am grateful we got out of this with a draw.

Had a right laugh listening to Radio L##ds.... Tim Steer asked Tumble if he would think about bringing Breunker on. Tumble said Yes but I'd only think about it for a moment!!

I don't disagree, that Park perhaps chose the wrong word - but the glee with which anything he writes is slated and even worse used to insult is ridiculous

Not saying this is you, by the way

Park's posts are coming across to me as quite belligerent and confrontational.

Whether it's been about the flyover and hoping for high winds, or that we've just achieved a great draw despite Aldershot being bankers.

I think he's been knowingly and willingly part of the minority long enough now to have adapted to sniping and biting tactics.

It's not surprise to see people sniping and biting back.

I bet numorous league teams would have taken that over the years after playing these teams. Didn’t we lose to non league a few years a go with one of our strongest teams.
Anybody who thinks I am not worried about where we are at the moment is mistaken. But what good does it do in the scheme of things. We had a much improved performance last week and we avoided a banana skin this. We are very unlikely to get anything next week but at least I hope we give them a game and then go on and beat Aldershot and Oxford which then might get us going

Not confrontational at all. I firmly believe that flyovers boycotts and demonstrations will work against Rhodes attempts to get us back on track and boycotts could eventually bankrupt us.
As for the result at Aldershot I explained we were a banker to lose with some of our fans. Let’s hope for high winds on Oxford match day for the good of the club.

Aah. So it's now Rhodes attempts to get us back on track?

    Thoughts on Edin now then?

The Pompey performance was "much improved", as was the Sunderland performance before it.

What followed the Sunderland defeat, lauded as a 'good' defeat (lol), 4 consecutive multiple-goal pummelings from Accrington, Rochdale, Coventry, and worst of all, Gillingham.

The Sunderland defeat was effectively worthless given how poor we looked after that.

I'm not sure I'm expecting different in the aftermath of the Portsmouth game, but I guess at least we're playing another League Two standard side in Oxford.

1985 @ Telford I believe was the last time we lost to a non league team. I believe.

I understand your point of view, but Rhodes cannot 'get us back on track', it's all damage limitation at this point.

Unfortunately things have never been worse in this club's history in terms of on-pitch performances, and that's nothing that JR can affect.

The fans have been ace this season, and positive atmospheres alone haven't achieved much.

While I admire what Julian is trying to do, the damage is already done I'm afraid. So the choice is whether to accept that, or swim desperately against the current. Either way, the long term future does not involve Mr Rupp or Mr Rahic, and we need to start dealing with that ASAP in my opinion.
