A lot less than the current one, we’ve been in the doldrums/decline for pushing 20 years now.

That’s not true. We were an offside goal and a shit Billy Clarke finish away from being a championship club. So I’d say we’ve had 4 years of decline.
I refuse to go along with our decline starting when we were relegated from the PL

It is a strange one as Adams isn’t a dancer and will kick Sparks behind. He has done already to a point that Sparks is acting like the little boy. It’s embarrassing.

However, based of results and style of play Adams should be on thin ice.

It’s all really about if Sparks mans up so to speak like DMG was hinting at him to do. Then Sparks has a decision to make because right now Adams is making Sparks look like a right mug.

If that view makes you feel better congrats!

Ask an outsider they will remember us in the premier league and now we are treading water in league two….this is long term decline

Adams is going nowhere he has a long term deal , and with his top striker out and before that Angol just as things were starting to click he has been dealt a tough blow on injuries, but his hanging out to dry of the players is a rotten trick and won’t help his cause.

Long term deal means nothing mate.

If results continue like this he will go.

The problem Spark is doing like DMG said and letting Adams not prove himself at the club. Get results. Don’t allow him to do anything until he’s proves himself as a Bradford City manager.

2 wins in 20 shouldn’t be dressed up because he signed a 3 year contract. It’s unacceptable and sackable.

It certainly was. I just wonder which hat he was wearing at the time , Bradford city director or Flamingo land owner.
It never sat right with me at the time and still does'nt . It is stacked far too heavy in the pension funds favour.
If i had the money , i would try and buy the stadium , could charge the club a lot less and still make a decent return on my investment.

Fingers crossed you win the Euromillions lottery @andyc@andyc
It's a game of poker Bradford City need a ground to play in have very strong emotional ties and would alienate a big percentage of fans if they moved
On the other hand Mr Gibb needs Bradford City at valley parade for his income in todays market the land is not worth a great deal indeed it's value would not exceed the cost of flattening the ground
A question of who blinks first Mr Sparks or Mr Gibb I know where my money is on
However we do have a chairman reportedly worth in excess of 100 million
    Fancy That !!!!!

Why would Gibb sell the ground back to us when currently he has a guaranteed £500k rental income.
The only motive for him selling would be the threat of us leaving VP and thus leaving the pension fund with no further income.
Many on here though think it’s not possible to achieve that outcome with those kind of negotiations.
My personal view is that giving notice to leave VP at the end of the lease in 2028 is the only way we have any chance of re-owning the stadium. And yes it might mean groundsharing with someone for a few seasons but again there are many on here that don’t think that’s possible either.

I'm not disagreeing, as the ideal stadium would cater for the ideal number of fans.

FGR are creating a 5,000 seat brand new Eco Park stadium - clearly not overly worrying about an explosion in terms of numbers of attendees and/or catering for big cup games!

    What would you say, 15,000?

At the minute 25,000 seater stadium is too big, and has been for a while (except for those magical cup nights) - and costs us a lot, where a new stadium with an eye on economy and sustainability could cost a lot less to run.

If we were in the Championship we’d see VP full quite frequently so any new stadium would have to be expandable to a 25k capacity.

Of course the pension fund would sell, if the deal was right, They have a reponsability to maximize the funds value.
When the value of the rent over the remaining years , is less than what is deemed a reasonable price for the stadium, then is the time to make an offer. You can then call there bluff and say you will walk at the end of the current deal.
As has been said its a game of poker.

What you do is line up possible groundsharing options, make a reasonable offer for the stadium close to the deadline of when we’d need to give notice. If the offer is declined, we walk away and leave VP empty until Gibb backs down.

A return to say £250 a year season tickets and maybe a 15k seater stadium. If we were going to seriously challenge for the championship and hold our own there then vp is ideal, I don’t see that happening, the rent overhead actually hinders that, time for a reset if there was an option to. Gibb has us by the balls.

Maybe, but that's a lot of extra bums to put on our seats!

I think for sure we'd be hitting 18-19,000 with cheap season tickets, not sure about 25k, but who knows you could be right.

You mean accused of indecent exposure and his tax fraud at Boston Utd? Fair enough we all make mistakes. Jamie Lawrence for example.
I’m pretty sure Bobby Campbell was investigated in his later life for fraud allegations.
Funny how me agreeing with the posh chairman on the fact I don’t think Steve Evans would be a terrible manager for us has turned into liable accusations thrown about. Each to their own.

No way is 25,000 too big. We fill it 75% quite often. Why downsize ?

Jamie served his time and turned his life around, Bobby was completely cleared, but Evans is still an odious, horrible t@at and always will be.

If he came here, I wouldn't attend. And I doubt I'm alone in that.

Bobby Campbell was cleared wheras Evans was found guilty every time, so a massive difference.

Which of my comments could be libelous?

And to be honest find it a bit sad that you are trying to put Bobby Campbell in the same category as Evans.
