The walk ins on match day have surprisingly been higher than the club anticipated when they were doing the pre season forecasts for budgeting

The other factor to consider higher up the leagues is bigger away fans coming as well

Why this talk on stadia? Boredom?

For my thoughts.... Its like when you have a perfectly working boiler (for example) but if you upgrade to the newest you can save £100 a year (or whatever) but costs you 3k to have a new one fitted.

    Cost effective?

S they don't count towards income and we should increase prices, reduce our customer base and start again ? Are you Gerald Ratner in disguise ?

Why on earth would we want to move to a smaller stadium, charge more to get in, have lower crowds, higher finance costs through a mortgage etc. This has been done to death. Valley Parade is costly but it's probably less costly than owning our own ground and building a smaller one would limit us when we do recover and move up the leagues.

It's just a smoke screen by the Gibb Haters.

Your boiler is owned by your next door neighbour and you have to buy Morrison’s saver range on the weekly food shop because they are charging you a fortune to use it!

was that a fast forward to 2030?

Theres pluses and minuses to it, it seems like a big white elephant for a club entrenched in L2 with limited investment and where away crowds are tiny.

maybe be need to entice Gibb back.

I don’t know if I’m becoming more intolerant recently but some in this site seem to be getting more and more thick. Where has one person said they are happy with the job Adams is doing? There is a big difference between being happy and slagging him off 12 times per day, everything seems to work in extremes these days. Some of use realise we’re a failing club and will take more than a few months to suddenly turn around, that doesn’t mean we’re enjoying what we are seeing. Nor does it mean we should go sack yet another manager, one of the only ones at this level with a track record of promotion when given time. That includes with Plymouth a club similar in size to us before anyone wants to bore us again with the rubbish he can only work at small clubs.

Im sure we’d all love a Paul Cook but this club is such an unattractive proposition atm we may as well talk about Klopp or Pep.

honestly i thought you were ranting on about boilers :joy:
i get you though, personally in this case i think its better to modernise our existing boiler, but to do that we need to stop renting it!

For those financial thickos like myself, can you educate me and explain in simple terms how it does work then?

Ps I'm still awaiting your reply to my earlier question to you on why Rupp should dip into his own pockets and invest in the club when you had already said you wouldn't invest because nobody makes a return in football.

Just to remind you @Fordy117@Fordy117 ..

The increase in price won’t be the main factor in reduction of fan base…..the shit product will be.

Sparks once again what a reactive (not proacting lol) idiot he can be in half time comments. Question the decision to require COVID certification but not what the epidemiological data means. What a muppet comment.

Time to act Sparks. We've already missed out on bringing a City legend home with Schumacher getting the Plymouth job and Graeme Lee getting the Hartlepool gig (and passing us in the league already) let's not miss out on Flynny too with Donny sniffing around.

You could put Klopp in charge, with Jesus as his assistant and Moses doing the coaching - if Theo Robinson is your main man up front, you ain't scoring goals.

Terrible result again. Be interesting to see if Derek takes responsibility tonight. This is just getting ridiculous now :-(

He signed 6 of the starters tonight. He's at least 54.5% responsible.

Of the other 5, one is his captain and ex player, so that makes it 63.6%.
