Not sure Adams is really responsible for any of the claimed promotions apart from Morecambe which was more luck than anything else

 

Nonsense you don't get lucky to be promoted

 

In any play offs you need an element of luck, Morecambe had it and Newport did not

 

You buy that luck by finishing 4th to 7th

He really laid into how Adams is behaving on the podcast today, talked about getting Ryan back on the pod to talk about things are going.
If he was chair he’d be demanding Adams shows improvement before giving him money to waste in Jan.
Also said that if we wanted to guarantee promotion with the next manager to bite the bullet and get Steve Evans in-I know a few on here have discussed the pros and cons of this and I’ve always been against because of the person he is but do we want success at a cost?

 

If he’s so interested in what’s going on at our club then he should sell his 50% in Posh and come here, if not suggest he focuses on his own club. Steve Evans hasn’t had success anywhere in years and is the most hated man in football, still can’t get my head around the appeal anymore.

 

If he got bought out at Posh I wouldn’t be surprised if he did.
Re Evans he’s done well at the Gills but I agree he’s an odious person

 

I've just listened to Matt Taylor's post match interview. I know it's always easier when you've won, but chalk and cheese as to how he conducts himself, compared to our manager.

 

If he is to talk to us, what’s the point in sparks? Sparks is CEO. If he feels things needs answering then it’s on him not Rupp. As much as we disagree. Otherwise he might aswell save Ryan’s wages

Lucky to get in the playoffs and very lucky to beat us in the final.

 

Not sure about lucky to get to the playoffs, that's achieved over 48 matches and they did what was required. As for the final, we made our own bad luck there with Stuart's inability to ram home the advantage we had at half time. If he had taken off Billy Clarke & brought Jordiboy on after an hour we would have battered them with him running at their immobile centre halves.

 

I'd have Steve Evans here in a heartbeat.

 

At least he is passionate and has a personality, even if its a bad one

 

Steve Evans - for absolutely no reason at all has become a figure of near-obsession for City fans for a decade and counting.

Treading water at Gillo, hasn't achieved anything in years, reputation entirely undeserved, only ever did well on a big budget

Maybe if Darragh takes over and decides to bankroll him - under Sparks and Rupp it's probably the worst choice we could make.

Thankfully he's employed.

 

I'd rather die than have that odious fat t*at at my club.

 

He needs to keep his nose out of other clubs business and concentrate on his own club surviving relegation.

When he sacks his next manager, maybe he should give the odious Evans a call himself

 

I'd like him to get more of his nose into our club. What we wouldn't give for an owner like him.
