Not the point. No challenge there. When I had championship manager I managed Huddersfield and regularly only fielded six players to get deliberately dicked.

After they sacked me, I changed user profile, got the job back and after hacking the database signed a squad full of 40 year old players. They promptly sacked me again, but the 31.0 defeat it caused was joyess

Not being funny but how do you know he's NOT actively looking to sell the club? I doubt we'd know anything until it was announced. The last time this club was for sale the only people we could attract were the clown and the ring master. If we were that attractive as a proposition he'd have no end of offers at his door. Near half a million rent is probably not something attractive to most people. Let's suppose someone would take that on, I'd imagine the first thing they'd do is hike season ticket prices. You say you want to be run like a proper club, but what affect would that have on attendances?

Agree about the 2 wins in 19 not being good enough, but with the injuries we've had I think the performances on the whole have been decent. Aside from Hartlepool and Tranmere we've matched most teams. Somehow, someway we have to get a win starting on Saturday.

In regard to your plenty of managers comment, the reason we had so much success under Parky was because we allowed him time to build. It was no coincidence he was one of the longest serving managers during his time here and we were highly successful as a result. Adams has been here just over 6 months and you and others want him gone. Is it any wonder why we continue to fail? I'd suggest you're part of the problem and not part of the solution.

Taken from Sparks interview and shows how much our owner is interested in the club,
"It's not the same job as other clubs. We're unique: our season ticket holders and sponsors fund it entirely. There is no owner investment

I've no complaint with him calling out the group as a whole. It's not as if he's named names and pointed at specific players. The whole group are failing (again) and if he doesn't call them out we will just sleepwalk into another relegation fight. Good on him I say. Time for certain players to man up, and those that don't or can't to ship out.

Fan ownership? Half our fans couldn’t get their heads around cashless payments, half want to spend our way out of league one, the rest would be happy in the National League North as long as they could pay cash and sit in the same seats each week.

Can you imagine Fordy and Manny Dominguez having input into the running of the club?

That’s once you’ve raised £7m or so from some of the most apathetic fans in football and agreed a funding model for the inevitable losses once we’ve bought the ground, built a training ground, signed Billy Sharp or moved to Halifax. Taking our seats with us.

Probably in the olden days the village idiot would say to someone they passed in the street on the way to the co-op 'Why is the police helicopter up there?', and the other person who was normal and had nothing to do with it and couldn't give a toss would shrug and ignore them as hard as they possibly could.

But now all those exciting questions and commentary are amplified and immortal. What a time to be alive.

I know I have no substance to make this statement but I really worry for the future of this club, if he was sacked. Dramatic I may be?

I just can't see any manager or coaching set up get a genuine tune out of this lower end league 2 assembled squad, injury ridden with a distinct lack of goals between them.

Cast your minds back to Bloomfield Road April 2018.
City fans in the stadium had just witnessed a humiliating defeat (5 - 0) at the hands of Blackpool.
The manager that day was Simon Grayson another in the long line of managers who have tried to change our fortunes but left swiftly through the exit door.
Standing at the back of the away stand that day I felt let down by the players attitude,no fight no commitment and very little passion on show. Why? Three years down the line stood at the back of the stand at Scunthorpe, freezing and watching another lacklustre display I ask those who spend their hard earned cash, has anything changed bar the managers name over said period and have we recruited some really poor players with selfish attitudes who care only about themselves.
The easy option every time is to sack the manager leaving the guys who cross the white line to escape scrutiny and simply play for the new man while it suits.
I'm sick of the managerial merry go round and believe Adams could well be one another in the long list of Bradford City casualties.
Stability would appear of the menu at Valley Parade.
In my opinion the players are to blame after all how can every manager employed by our club fail to issue instructions to its playing staff before a game.
Must be a lot of deaf ears down at City.
Nothing changes, bring in another manager but remember the playing staff remain and are simply not good enough.

No one resigns on a 3 year contract. He will wait for his payout.

There is something fundamentally wrong about the position we're in. I listened to the Adams' interview last night and was surprised when he took no responsibility at all for the manner in which we lost. I was really surprised when he tried to distance himself from the recruitment in the summer implying some weren't up to the job. As we know, he certainly was responsible for some of the recruitment including Angol and Ridehalgh but didn't want to take responsibilty for others. Given what he has said in the past about Robinson, I guess he's in that category.

But that cuts right across what Sparks said in the summer. He said publicly that the final decision on all new players was the manager's and by inference not Turnbull's. And yet the only interpretation of what Adams said last night is that that wasn't the case.

That's worrying for me. Has Sparks been speaking with forked tongue on recruitment or is Adams simply not accepting the responsibility for his own decisions?

So Adams knew the players we had when he joined and he must have agreed to the way the players that arrived after he had signed were signed. So he can not wash his hands of it.

Don't get this Trevor. Adams got Ross County promoted twice in Scotland; Plymouth and Morecambe in the EFL. That's four promotions he managed. 'Luck' happens in one off games - you can't be lucky throughout an entire season, never mind through four seasons worth of promotions. Like you, I'm utterly underwhelmed by what he's achieved thus far at VP, but a season is a marathon not a sprint. Let's see what Xmas and New Year brings from him.

No, I agree, the first 12 months of Stuart's leadership after Parky were pretty good. An improvement in real terms, with us reaching the play off final and all.

We could dig into the why's and wherefore's, but there's not much point. It worked.

The only clear difference between the Parkinson-McCall handover was that McCall inherited a successful squad. As it stands, that won't be the case for the next manager, and that's where we need to be very shrewd, very calculated, and very clever as a club. If it doesn't work out for Adams, the next manager needs to be one who can quickly and readily pick up the pieces and work with what he's got, because there are plenty of City fans who just don't want to afford any manager the time unless they get it right straight away.

Adams and Sparks will be judged in the course of time. The article is nice and fluffy and 'wonderfully warming' on a cold winters morning.

    As for Rupp, feck off.

Is sparks taking the Mick here?

"With all due respect, we didn’t disappoint last January when we needed to act".

In January we signed or borrowed Danny Rowe, Oliver crankshaw, Jordan Stevens, romain burrell and Will Huffer all of whom are no longer here, and to them you can also add matty foulds who originally couldn't get a look in, and is only just beginning to find his feet

Would we have not have been better investing this so called extra money in a good squad in the summer and then we only need to add one or two players in a difficult window? With maybe the odd loans to cover injuries? That way we get the majority we want out of contract and pay slightly more on wages?
Instead we are nearly 10 points off of auto promotion and maybe more by the time the window opens.

He's not spot on, he's promoting a friend whose team has scored 2 goals in 8 games.

Steve Evans is about to get sacked because he's washed up, and MacAnthony thinks Adams is about to get sacked too, so why not try to help Evans get a job?

If we end up switching Adams for Evans, Sparks will look like the biggest moron in the history of Bradford City for bowing down to a man he once shared a podcast with.

I wouldn't be surprised if that happened, mind you.

Gillingham are one of the very few EFL clubs with fewer wins than we've got.

They've scored 16 goals all season.

If he's in the running for our next manager, we have some real, real problems.

I agree to some extent but, unless we start looking like relegation candidates, I see only two or three ways Adams leaves, he resigns, Sparks and Adams leave or next season’s ST sales are so bad the club needs another PR boost. Unless any of those happen I’d say he’s going to be here this time season. If we’re still in the same situation in 12 months, then he’ll go. For me any credibility Sparks has rests on turning this club around. He’s not doing that by sacking yet another manager he appointed.

Adams has been here all of 6 months… have i missed a play off final or something? You are judging him on six months. Six months. Toxic levels of expectation.

Adams has not got any team promoted the first season in. Frankly your expectations of L2 managers is too high.
Off the top of my head, Marco Silva at Fulham and Scott Parker (both proven PL Managers) have really improved the teams they have managed. If we had that here he would get poached from us immediately. Evans would have the EXACT same problems that Adams has now. And respectfully you thinking otherwise shows either you haven't been a fan for the past five years or you have severe selective memory.

Look at Sunderland. Look at Ipswich. Two clubs stuck in medoricty because of toxic expectation. Johnson getting booed because he drew against oxford utd. What a joke.

5 years 8 managers year on year regression in terms of league possession.

we have never been higher than the season before since we started sacking managers.

    Maybe lets try something new.
