I see the exeter manager has been mentioned. He's had 4 years and not got Exeter promoted yet. He'd have been shown the door a while back to a chorus of boos and jeers.

 

Truman is a young coach with ideas that will evolve as he gains experience. He knows that playing one up top only works if the defence and holding midfield two do their jobs and the attacking three get close to the front man. That worked to a large extent under Trueman and Sellers but not under Adams.

Latics fan in peace….Know exactly where you’re coming from, we’ve had 11 managers in 4 years!!!
Our owners are poisonous and we’re in danger of exiting league football.
We’ve got a club legend back now who has unbelievably got us winning again and we are unbeaten in 4 but still have the worst squad in living memory.
Don’t know the history with your owners but you have a great stadium and fanbase and should be in the Championship no doubt!
Ultimately it’s the players who are key but you also need stability with the right manager. You have massive potential and should be able to attract a top coach…..your next appointment needs to be spot on but will also need time to do the job.
You can still reach the playoffs in what is an absolutely shite division.

I can't believe we are back with Trueman in charge, exactly where we were last year. I predict the farcical situation of the usual player bounce and a possibility that he then gets the job full time when we sacked him this time last year. That could honestly happen at this farce of a club. And some who were calling for his head last year will no doubt be asking that he's kept on should that scenario transpire.

I'm guessing it'll be Adams that's told us to 'do one' then rather than the other way round, which sounds about right

If true though, at least we won't have to pay out a huge amount in compo.

Some people forget a football club is full of employees like any other business and rumours work the same!! Footballers don't magically turn up and perform to their best if there is lots of rumours going around, the same as anyone in any job!

 

What do you mean by “the infrastructure” as we do have a lot of things in place.

Scouting network for one - this was in place before Adams arrived, albeit Adams brought in new people - we do have the premise of a scouting network.

We aim to bring in and develop youth as a club, although Adams clearly didn’t want to go down that avenue.

We have decent training facilities.

So for me a lot of the “infrastructure” is there unless you are talking about something different?
