To be fair, l assume that will be Head Teachers salary for Secondary Schools. Having said that our level on the pitch is more akin to Primary School.
We have seen several clubs who are spending far more than they generate. Despite all the Financial Fair play initiatives, the salaries is a huge chunk of the expenditure. Perhaps the owners need to review the situation and agree to salaries which are affordable?

The fans were rightly cheesed off this season when they (and I include all of them, Sparks, Gent and Hughes) ripped up the play book instead of adding quality to 2 or 3 positions. If they had, we’d have been up alongside Mansfield and Stockport this season. Once again it’ll be on the manager to bring his preferred players for his style, rather than a club blueprint for the future.

The table I shared is the headteach salary scale. The banding and points at the left side is worked out by size of school eg primary, secondary, intake, number of pupils etc. there isn't a seperate table for primary and secondary schools. it depends on the spine points attached to the role

no it isn't. There is only one main salary scale. There are adjustments for London, and fringe. The number of spine points given to the role is decided by the size of the school etc. So primary schools will sit at the bottom and large secondary schools sit at the top

Nope, the information Storck posted is for all Headteachers from the smallest Primary to the largest secondary.

The figures quoted in the initial post are way out. A standard class teacher now starts on £30k.

Below is a very scary table (note it misses out those formerly from Canterbury Avenue). I assume that salaries are the biggest expenditure of any club?

it would be good to know who was responsable for Derbyshire, Taylor, Mcdonald and other odd signings, 1, 2 or all of the above.
We never will and need to move on with hope GA gets the players he wants.

I wholeheartedly agree it’s time to pay more. My fear is take up drops dramatically and we still end up with a lower budget because the club won’t bridge the gap.

I agree with you. Fans should expect to pay more for their STs, the higher up the pyramid is their club. It costs more to have a Div 1 squad than it does for a Div 2 squad. That's the way of the world. If we are watching Div 1 footie then we should expect to pay for that privilege. The issue is how much should a fan pay in the interim, ie this season, for a club which expects to get promoted into a higher league for next season. We just duck that issue every year and talk in a meaningless way about a 'competitive' budget or now an 'ambitious' budget. It would be good to hear the club say 'we are driving for promotion this season and that will mean putting an extra X into the playing budget'. 'And that X will come from a combination of increased ticket prices from fans and some additional short term investment from the owners'. That's the ethos behind most businesses which wish to develop and evolve.

It's back to the long debated club's vision or rather lack of vision. Sparks manages the footballing side of the club on a yearly basis - here's the manager's budget, now get on with it - with little thought towards the future. That's not a great way of successfully managing any business which has aspirations beyond the here and now.

Don’t get me wrong, I’d expect it to be fulfilled too had I bought one, but I didn’t

I’m not bothered about it either way, but there are always folk whinging on social media and on here every close season. I’m pretty sure there’s a few threads about it on here

probably will cause a kerfuffle this time if we stay at £180 whilst rest of you get hit with a £50 rise, but there again we got hit by a rise last year whilst everyone else stayed same

They can’t possibly increase the Executive ST again.

Maybe we won’t in the short term. If GA gets the players he wants, wouldn’t it be nice if they said GA’s plans were in alignment with those of the club. Todays season ticket announcement was a good opportunity to reveal a future strategy we could all invest in.

I should imagine Club has thought long and hard about where best to price STs given rising costs and likely drop off in takers. I personally was expecting it and do not think it is the end of the world, but I do worry that some people seem to think this increase will secure a similar playing budget to the current or recent seasons. Your bit of maths shows where sales need to be to break even (I think) on ST income from last year. But this does not take into consideration rising expenditure which will need to be accounted for, and of course the Club will be looking in other places to do that, but staff and player budgets will be the largest and easiest pots to raid.

The pessimist in me tells me the Club will have to sell about the same number of STs or more as last year at the increased rate to allow a similar playing budget (in real terms) as this year. Like you I think we will need to be winning every game from now until the deadline to get anywhere near that point, or Rupp digs deep - which is the more likely?
