I think it's interesting that the price for a junior ticket next season is much reduced down to £19. Less than £1 a game.

I’m sure those that calling for higher spending on a better, more expensive but smaller squad won’t find small price increases a worry. If there is no support funding from our owner then higher ticketing pricing us the only place it can come from.

It’s a choice of a top two budget or a mid table budget in a nutshell. Up to the manager and the squad thereafter.

Agreed. How will the mistakes of last years mis-spent budget be eradicated this year. What lessons have been learned? Will we recruit for one style only to change tact before the end of preseason? In real terms there’ll be less to spend. Do I have faith it will be spent wisely. No. The ones signing off on the Taylor, Odusina and Derbyshire deals are still at the club.

    Very much so.

My opinion is based on absolutely nothing but previous seasons.
Many times it’s been suggested that lots won’t renew and the numbers just don’t back that up.

Does it cause any kerfuffle? If they announced the price when they announced the rest it probably wouldn't have been mentioned. An agreement was come to about extending it after the administrations so it will end when that agreement ends. Not long to go and then you can stop getting in a kerfuffle each year about it.

The ambitious budget has to cover up for our proud custodian, sparks and gent still being here.
    Feel the love ;)

Fans stop demanding we have success every season and accept it might take time for GA to mould things as he want's.
Mansfield Stockport, Wrexham, managers all in place for a few good season's.
I personally think he will get us very close next year,do not think we will do it this, but a good run will certainly help, especially with our squad, which has far too many duds.

It is strange that every other category has gone up except that one.

I wonder if the club have looked at introducing an attendence clause in the season ticket t&c like Leeds have done. If you don't attend or offer your ticket for resale for a certain percentage of games you don't get the option to renew

About the only thing l felt that Rahic had correct, was that he was reported to have wanted to change the salary system at City to one that was more performance based with bonuses being paid on achievements. Clearly players need a decent and fair salary, but some can still be on high wages when they are not in the squad, and/or the team is performing poorly.
Below is a salary scale for Head Teachers (Primary School). If players were on that as a basic (or even upto £50,000) and were able to get very lucrative bonuses based on success, then it could be seen as money sensibly spent.

Does that mean that we will be able to purchase more players than we did last season with our competitive budget?

Sparks going all David Brent again. Just be honest with the fans, your remit is to make sure the owner doesn't have to put his hand in his pocket. Once this primary function is dealt with, whatever is left is at the managers disposal. If you the fans want the manager to have a bigger budget at his disposal then get your wallets open, Bradford City AFC ain't a sodding charity. The general rule of thumb in life is you get what you pay for, pay peanuts you get monkeys.

What this does do is allow them to put the price up again next year if promotion is actually attained to a point where it would really benefit the jump in crowd sizes that league one would give you. Anywhere between £275and £300 is a more than fair price in that division and would allow a decent budget to compete with.
A premium product will always come at a cost and Bradford City is no different.

Hopefully less, but fitter players who can last 90+ minutes or more than a handful of games a season and show better attributes to wining matches. Not much to ask for is it.

Sounds a good idea in principle but the problem would be recruitment unless all clubs were doing it.

Not sure on the accuracy of the website you got the headteach scale from, as teacher union website has this as the headteacher scale

Hopefully we've found the 'exclude talented but injury-prone' and the 'prevent signing aged players on 2 year plus contracts' tick boxes.

not sure if it is even the going rate. I haven't looked but it wouldn't surprise me if we aren't still one of the cheapest

Was just about to say that @Storck@Storck. £35k is the mark for a reasonably experienced teacher without managerial responsibility.
