2021/22 Season Tickets (now with poll)

"People haven't gone on holiday, so they've got more to spend on season tickets," I'm not sure it needs an explanation as to why that's silly.

 

Well there you go. That right there is the answer.

If you hit rock bottom, you get a bounce.

But the best time to raise prices isn't when you're about to bounce, it's surely once you've bounced.

 

Not if you look at the bigger picture rather than wander around with a rain cloud over your head.

 

You just said many aren't in your position, how's that a rain cloud.

I have to agree, also running a small business with a handfull of employee's. we are a manically busy. My lads have had all their salary , but very little to spend it on . lots of savings, which i am sure will be spent , once the economy opens fully.

 

Here's a letter.

'U'

We're at the bottom of the 'U' after a tough lockdown. That's where the economy is, fact, it's predicted that we'll have an upturn which is the second half of the letter 'U', looks pretty much like that's going to be a fact too.

More people have less money right now.

That's predicted to change, even though unemployment is sky high and the economy is at a multi-decade low.

Great. When that changes and the economy is strong again and the employment figures have climbed back to normal levels and the number of hours worked is as high as it used to be, THEN you can raise prices for luxury products like season tickets.

But we're not there yet. This would be a stupid time to raise ticket prices.

 

Even with the biggest boom ever it isn't predicted we will return to pre Covid levels.

 

People will spend more on social activities and pleasures.

Bradford City can't afford to run cheap tickets now. £200 plus price point is fair.

 

The other reason it's a crap idea is we've just a crap season, some are saying they won't return anyway, and we don't even know if we'll get a full season yet.

I'm glad you're well optimistic though, and think the product is good enough to spend more on.

 

How long have we had cheap season tickets 10 or more years?
football is a business , like any other and needs to start paying its own way. Too many clubs in debt.
If you pay for a happy meal, don't expect to get a nice fillet of steak.
Fans need to pay more if we wan't a better product on the pitch.

 

Not thought the product has been good enough since we we last in the Play Off final mate. However, I have thought Rhodes cheap season ticket sales were getting us nowhere on and off the pitch. People were buying them and starting to not show up.

We now have to reset now!

 

Another prediction that may be proved wrong, just as the others were, time will tell.

 

Just like the predicted massive boom isn't guaranteed either

 

How about this?

Those that were furloughed and can prove their household income has taken a massive hit pay £100 for their ST's.

This is then subsidised by those business owners and employees who made the same or more money, but couldn't spend as much. They pay £250.

That way, £75 goes to those who took a hit, subsidising their season ticket price to £175, while they're also paying £175, which is an increase for the club.

Those that have done well surely won't quibble about helping out those who've done badly, because they don't want to live under a rain cloud of negativity.

You could even increase the £250 to £300, averaging out the prices to a round £200.

Thoughts?

 

Agree I hear a few on here saying they may not be renewing their season tickets and then say they should be increased.

 

As I posted time will tell.

 

I didn't know if it was the same people or not, but I wouldn't be surprised.
