I can’t believe that. I heard they have a proper sit down meal or otherwise what is the point they nights as well go home and eat.

You’d think we trained at Bash street comprehensive to listen to some. We have our own private training pitch, the facilities are excellent and it would cost a fortune to own something similar as well as pay for the staffing and running costs.

Just quoting what he said, could be taken with a pinch of salt though as by the sounds of it he can't get a game at part-time Radcliffe.

Maybe tell that to Chelsea, Brentford, Team GB and England Ruby then because they use the same microwave meals supplied by these guys -

There's a pattern emerges on here dependant on results. Goes for Cooky and the training facilities, when we win Woodhouse Grove is excellent and if Cook scores he's elite athlete with a six pack, if we lose the training facilities are crap and Cooky is a fat b@stard.

Absolutely , patterns always follow result outcomes, we win we are a well run club, we lose meh, we win , the training facilities are the best in the lower divisions, we lose and the meals are microwaved or burgers and it’s always flooded from the river. We win when it rains , who cares, we lose we have the worst pitch in the northern hemisphere . Too right there’s a pattern RT…..It all depends on what narrative the contributor holds or wants to push . The Twitter one or the common sense realistic one.?

It’s a results based game ….As night follows day, that’s the outcome.

There are a ton of these 'meals on wheels' type companies out there at the moment, all marketed at young gym types.. Give me a full English any day over some veg that's been sat in a DPD van for three days haha. I bet a fella named Andy Cook might agree with me too ;)

100% agree Rog, we need to improve as a whole for the club to keep on an upward trajectory.

I can get the fact that it is a school, but Evans did not say what was missing from the training facilities, which is available at the vast majority of other clubs.
What extra facilities should be available to assist the players? Apart from it being a ‘school’, he hasn’t explained what is lacking and why it would make a difference.
If he found the facilities so problematic during his first stay, and he felt it would impede his ability, then surely before signing he would have checked things out?
I think in some ways he is transferring blame onto the club, for some of his own shortcomings. He has gone down the ladder significantly since he left City, so no one else felt that with 'improved' training facilities he could play in the top 5 tiers.
Sadly Evans was a disappointment in both his spells at City.

Bet Cookie loves the school canteen, he will be going back to get Seconds on a regular basis.
However, he'll suffer when skool is shut during holidays

There’s a lot of opinion come in to these claims from ex-players/staff when it comes to training facilities. For example what might not be acceptable to Evans, might not be an issue for Jamie Walker. That said, just cause Walker hasn’t publicly spoken about it doesn’t mean he doesn’t share the same view.

The reality is, we don’t own it and for as long as we share with the school there is a limit to how advanced it can/needs to be. Right now, fair to say it probably doesn’t compete with others.

Given players spend the majority of the employed time with the club, training facilities are extremely important. The difference in modern and performance enhancing work facilities improves talent recruitment, employee retention and improves performance and development - fact. Can we be confident our current facilities contribute positively or negatively to this?

Considering we have trained here for 30 years, ans been in all four leagues in that time, I think its time people just shut up about it.

Anyone who blames Rupp for us being at a school needs locking up. He probably couldn't even speak English when we started using this facility

I believe the training facilities are at a standard way above what would be expected at this level. They have been awarded something status but I cannot remember exactly what that is. I am sure someone else will though.

I get that it isn’t ideal, much better to have a purpose built provision than borrowing others. However, the school have catered to our needs and it is good business for them. I have been down a few times, the actual training facilities look good to me. I haven’t been actually inside, but they have a gym, swimming pool I think. Would I prefer our own, of course without a doubt, but we will have to wait until we generate enough funds to build one, or unless ones of us wins the euro’s.

That isn't the case though. The range of training facilities we now use at the school are streets ahead of what was basically just a couple of pitches next door at Rawdon Meadows, they are far better than what we had when in the higher divisions, when they certainly weren't good enough.

I am sure i saw on one of the training videos the club puts out , our own changing facilities a lady in charge of the food, pool tables, sky sports.
I wish my workplace was like that.
Oh and only there for around 5 hours when training.
    God they have it hard.
