David Sharpe appointed Head Of Football Operations

We have a manager who appears well thought of by the hierarchy in the club so I can't see this at all. Not to mention it would be a ridiculous move at this stage and would undo everything we are trying to achieve (GA has 5 months valuable groundwork under his belt).

 

Just shows what little loyalty Evans has.

 

My understanding is it was Sharp who did the deals and negotiating , but not the scouting and identification of players. That was done by Clough’s brother and his assistant. I’m sure I read he didn’t do any scouting?

 

I'm not talking about washing your dirty linen in public Kevin but just an acknowledgement he's still alive.
We've had to many employees who roam the corridors of Valley Parade without saying anything to fans.
Julian Rhodes springs to mind never had anything to say.

So what do you want him to say? Pointless platitudes from him will get shot down on here within seconds, you know and I know. I prefer it if he got on with his job and then at the end of the season we can get a proper sense of his outlook and recruitment vision going forward. After two weeks what’s he going to talk about anyway ?

Paul Cook was there 3 years under Sharpe though, would love him here, but not going to happen

 

He did an interview with the club's media team on the day he signed which was only 2 weeks ago so I'm not sure what else he could say that we don't know or couldn't guess. I'm sure we'll hear from him over the summer and wouldn't be surprised if he's at the next fans forum.

 

I wonder if Rupp had spoken to Sharpe yet?!

I don’t know if anyone else picked up on this but in the BBC press conference- GA talked around Wright and DO and that they had some of kind of meeting. He reeled off names RS, CL etc and even later in the interview said NF was there but am sure never referenced Sharpe.

I do find that bizarre if he didn’t atrend and I hopes it’s not another one look under the bonnet and nah not for me.

Honestly would not surprise me one if he’s backtracked.

If someone else’s listens and does references DS I stand corrected but he wasn’t. Such a pivotal role sounds bizarre he’s not refereed to.

 

In the T&A today, it seems that Parker has a interview with Sharpe,don't know when it was done.

Neil Redfern … hahah I just find it bizzare, he’s now one of the most important people in the business and he wasn’t referenced.

I’ve always suspected that it will be a part time role and something just to ease the pressure on Rupp. Silence hasn’t done anything to change my mind on that.

 

If your just quoting initials rather then their full name then Neil Redfern should be NR.
