    Ok there is a lot of talk now that we might be getting a DOF. It may or may not be the case.If it is true, who would we want? Who is out there even? I have absolutely no idea. The only name that has been mentioned is Paul Jewell.

    Apparently Jewell helped Sparks with the recruitment of Alexander, so it would make sense.

    Width of a Post have said Jewell has attended a number of recent games.

    TCA have mentioned David Sharpe who was CEO/DOF at Mansfield. Surely though he would be a Sparks replacement rather than addition.

    Rumoured at the time that Jewell warned against GA but Sparks knew better
    Can't imagine Jagger coming here unless there's a complete change at the top

    Hope it's Jewell. Is it telling that he has recently started attending games again?

    Sharpe has tenuous link to Bradford in that his Grandad Dave Whelan was born here, although Whelan moved to Lancashire as a youngster.

    Dave Whelan’s mother took him back to Wigan as soon as she could after his birth. Think he was 3 days old.

    Ppl who are warned about certain actions by PJ do so at their peril GR comes to mind. He wanted a younger team for our second year in the PL but GR knew better apparently.

    If it’s Jewell it’s another in long long long line of lazy appointments that will fail.

    Why can’t we do due diligence interview have conversations with clubs. We do resort to PR as our on default option.

    Lessons haven’t been learned if it’s Jewell!!

    Hours of due diligence with external specialists been called in to assist, or drawing pins in a map of West Yorkshire (including Teeside) and a chorus of "eeny, meeny, miney, moe"

    It's a Bantam thing.

    This may seem a strange post, but l hope it isn’t Paul Jewell.

    The main reason is that he is widely respected by the vast majority of City fans aged 25 and older.

    He played for the club, for 10 years had a respectable goal scoring rate of around 1:5 and then managed the club into the Premiership.

    l look at other notable players who have returned in a management capacity, only for it to fail and for them to subsequently be the target of quite a lot of hefty criticism.

    This alters some people’s perception of their earlier achievements.

    Look at some of the disparaging comments in respect of Abbott, Jackson and in particular McCall. Their early positive history is subsequently tarnished.

    I would rather have someone who knows the game and in particular League One and Two, perhaps someone who is fresh to the role and is hungry to achieve success.

    We do not need a DoF and head of recruitment in the same club in L2. I’d rather just one and the other salary going to a player!

    My choice would be Neil Warnock on a 3-4 day week basis , it would pay his tax in retirement.
