Ryan Sparks (New Poll As At 28 March 2024)

3 of my family out of 5 of us that are season ticket holders are not renewing. 2 of them have not attended since Christmas such is how they have felt for the past few months

 

If he put out a statement today acknowledging the mess we are in and advising what he is going to do about, including replacing Sparks, he could kill the planned protest for Friday dead before it even begins and avoid all the negative media attention it will attract.
He won't though.

 

Same here with my family/friends,I’m the only one who has attended every home game this season I’m glutton for punishment and the only one confirmed so far for season tickets renewal is me

Agreed. Its so frustrating. He can pay Sparks’ severance pay or lose close to millions from lost ST revenue, which he can plug himself in the budget, or leave unplugged, to effectively kill next season too.

Im amazed this bloke has been a successful businessman. Comes across as a clueless, disinterested muppet here.

does he really expect to get his money back after making so many dreadful decisions?

 

The problem I think going forward is thst a lot that don't renew this summer will be lost for years to come.

They will either get used to tuning in on the radio to listen or simply get used to doing other family things on a Saturday afternoon

 

A lot of this could have been avoided if the club had come out and been honest with fans. But this ain't an overnight thing, this is a culmination of 6 years of cracks being papered over and now the supply of paper has run out. Forget people at the back of the ground waving placards or planes flying banners, the drop in season ticket sales is the true protest to the failings of the ownership of this club.
Once a business loses the confidence of its customer base it usually fails and has to come back under new ownership with a different name. The only move the club has made is to put the price up to compensate for the loss of customers, getting the ones who still use the company to pay for their mistakes.
Sounds like a right plan that.

I will renew my ST next month, however, if we start next season under the same regime and no sign of improvement, I will pick and choose gamez and start taking in games at Thackley FC

 

I can't believe it has taken this long for people to finally see Sparks for what he is. Unbelievable

 

Me and the wife have barely been since December, think we've been to two home games from memory since. We haven't renewed yet and don't really fancy going again this season. We probably will, I think we need to by the 8th to keep our seats? But I have a similar mindset that if not much changes as the season progresses, that might be it for a while.

 

I think other than the ‘give him a chance ffs’ brigade, we know who they are as they do it for every garbage player and manager that comes through the door even though it always ends the same way, people knew it was too big of a gamble. The writing was on the wall from day one, contrary to what a few think we all care about the club but all we could do was cross our fingers that he’d be some sort of whizz kid, he wasn’t he’s as useless as expected unfortunately for the fans who are ultimately the ones suffering.

I will not be renewing, for the 2nd successive season. The downward spiral was evident before we even kicked a ball this season and based on current circumstances next season will be even worse. So until there is change at the top, or there is a complete change in attitude and direction from those at the top, then I will be staying away from VP. Don't get me wrong, it hurts like hell at the moment but I am not spending my hard earned money to support disinterested and clueless management. When it comes to GA, I am on the fence, but think he has to be given a chance to mould his own team/squad. Yet another manager change would achieve nothing at all right now

 

I honestly believe he isn't a business man, but has won the Euro Millions.

 

All 8 of my group renewing, gluttons for punishment I know, we're city fans whoever is CEO or owns the club!

So, is Ryan still bunkered up in the boardroom with the phone disconnected? I mean he's been completely invisible as if he can just lay low expecting this to blow over if one or two freak results.

He must know he is out of his depth but he must also realise he isn't going to get another job like this in the future and so the catch 22 situation begins. He won't resign and Rupp won't sack him. Meanwhile due to his ego the whole place crumbles around him.
